    I was hoping for a lot more from Puzzler Mind Gym 3D, but the lackluster presentation and game layout, coupled with the poor use of 3D, made this another one of those inferior brain games that only serious puzzle and brain game fans should consider for purchase.

    It's let down as a brain training title, sporting an ineffective categorisation system and progress tracker as well as failing to teach specific strategies that apply to the task at hand, instead largely relying on the player to learn through trial and error.

    This would make for an okay budget title, but at a $40 price tag, it's a complete rip-off. Unless you're a die-hard puzzle fan who happens to spot this in a bargain bin, Mind Gym 3D isn't worth it.

    I have a huge interest in this genre of games and thought that it would be a good way to exercise my brain since I have been lazy with myI have a huge interest in this genre of games and thought that it would be a good way to exercise my brain since I have been lazy with my studies for the past 4 years. When I bought this game last December, I was a bit hesitant since believe it or not it was the most expensive 3ds game at that moment in my local video game store. Probably it's because of the poor demand for the game, well upon playing it for the first time, I was really satisfied with the gameplay even though it's a simple brain game with additional 3d enhancements. The game is intended to be a 90 day course, meaning you'll have to play it daily but you can actually play a few games all at once but I warn you as the game progresses the difficulty of the puzzles also increases. However, the main drawback of this game is that it tends to be boring in the long run and a bit frustrating because there are instances where in even the warm-up exercises are too difficult that you'll need to cheat by searching for the answers online or through books (well maybe it's just me). Also, I hate the fact that the some of the math puzzles tend to be too easy especially the one regarding with divisibility because once you have learned the divisibility rules, you'll easily ace those puzzles. The game is still a good addition to your 3ds game library and it will surely help you work-out out that rusting brain.

    I give it only a 7 because of these main reasons:
    a. Price - it cannot justify the 40 dollar tag price.
    b. Gameplay - this should have been just an eshop 3ds game, since it's really a simple game containing hundreds of puzzles (some of which tend to be repetitive).
    c. Sound - the sound becomes annoying in the long run, a voice over for the professor would have been good.    … Full Review »
