This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game looks amazing. All of the new content impressed me with the new amiibo yoshi designs, hilarious shorts and the ability to make your own Yoshi designs. I don't really care about its graphics and lack of Co-op. Expand

The original was straight up amazing, the same can be said here. While the port offers little for the main mode, it offers much more in side modes; such as the Poochy levels, additional amiibo support, 31 animated shorts and the ability to create your own Yoshi designs. All the Wii U's content is present, making it a packed game with more to enjoy. Of course, the graphics can't compare to the Wii U version, but if you're the type of person who cares more about a game's content over it's looks, then this is easily a must have for the 3DS and even worth the second time around if you've already played the Wii U version. I haven't played the WiiU version so cant compare the two, but this was pure platforming perfection. Nintendo doing what Nintendo do best, and the wooly Poochy Amiibo is THE GREATEST!

Personally I hate the idea to kill a wiiu exclusive, perhaps it didn't sell well. I hate that because it's similar with Mario Maker, they offer the same game mechanics but with LESS features because these games were designed for a home console. Although If you skipped Woolly World on Wii U, Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World offers what is essentially a straight port... don't bother if youPersonally I hate the idea to kill a wiiu exclusive, perhaps it didn't sell well. This game remarks on its original Woolly World game for the Wii U, but it adds nothing new to the formula to distinguish it from its Wii U counterpart except the fact Poochy takes over this 3DS port as you can already see by its title. Purchase it or not, stick with the Wii U counterpart and love it.

while yes it is overall a solid game, with nice graphics Its a big cash grab re-release of a game made for the Wii U with barely any new content yet packaged as a wholly new game... don't bother if you already own the Wii U version

I'd liked yoshi wooly world. It added new refreshing ideas. The bosses are a little to easy for my taste and the music could use a bit more work,. The level design however is great. Overal its a good game.

This game is great. Better than yoshi's island... YES I SAID IT. I love the level design. The best levels are the cookie one, bowser's castle, the sponge one, the magic carpet one, and one of the snow levels that aren't so mazy. I also like how the yarn creates platforms and you can eat certain parts of yarn as long as it shows a knot. That really built upon the yoshi games. It's alsoThis game is great. It's also great that the game is two players however that's easier on the wii u. The poochie movies are fun too. The only bad side is that one of the snow levels is too maze like but then again yoshi's island had that one cave level that was really long. Lastly I like how similar it is to yoshi's island while making it better than that game. I think it's the yoshi game fans wanted and needed. Expand

The game is a lot of fun. A lot of people didn't buy a WiiU so there's nothing wrong with the game being ported to 3ds. The sounds yoshi makes are so cute!

Great game. Although it's not very challenging. The woolly world is cute and charming.

    Pros
+Port of the original Yoshi's Woolly World but it includes additional levels focused around Poochy
+Includes mellow mode difficulty from the original which gives Yoshi wings to fly around
+3 Poochy puppies follow you acting as a guard against enemies and to be used as infinite ammo and as a tool to find secret areas and hidden items/paths
+6 worlds with 8 stages each for a total of 48 stages plus 6 additional stages if you collect all flowers
+30 unlockable short movies that involve Yoshi and Poochy
+The ability to create Yarn Yoshis and to share them through street pass
+Amiibo support added compared to the original game (original game received it later post release patch after this game)
+Ability to choose badges for special effects and abilities for Yoshi

    Cons
-Reduced visual and graphics compared to the original
-Multiplayer from the original game removed
-The unlockable short movies unlock only once every 24 hours so you must wait 31 days to unlock them (and must watch each one each day otherwise the next one will not unlock).
    -Boss battles are really easy

Just like the Wii U version, there more amiibo compatible to this game, it's even cute, & the levels are still fun!

personally i think it is a good game but for some reason i think that it doesn't live up to the Nintendo standards. I think it is a great game for kids but it might be a little complicated. it takes a lot of time to get used to the controls for me and I think that it is too expensive. if you have a wii u you should not buy this version of the game. just get the wii u version instead.

While Super Mario Maker 3DS felt crippled and downgraded, Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World feels equal. With the Wii U version getting updated to support Poochy & Poochy Dash there’s not too many advantages to the game, but also no downsides. If you missed this on Wii U, there’s no excuses not to pick this up, but if you do own it already you may just want to look into adding the amiibo to your collection. Now if only we had some Poochy Pup amiibo….

The disappointing Poochy levels and lack of multiplayer aside, I had a lot of fun with Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World. That’s coming from someone who has a love hate relationship with platformers that leans more towards the hate side of things. If you’ve never played Yoshi’s Woolly World before, then you’re in for a treat. If you have, then you know what to expect; It’s still the same great game.
