    El peor de la saga, fácil y poco memorable, su mayor pecado es el regalar 4 pokémons casi obligatorios para completar la aventura, se pierde el factor RPG por completo, pero el trabajo de los modelos 3d es bastante decente.

    Despite welcoming Pokemon into the 3D world, Pokemon Y fails to take the challenge seriously. Unnoteworthy characters, a terrible bad guy team, muted ambiance, and a bare-bones narrative culminate in a title better left unplayed among plenty of others that came before and after it.

    This game was ok it was easy but like the fun and bad kind of funny. But i didn’t like that every gym leader has 3 Pokémon and every E4 member has 4 Pokémon which makes sense but come on Nintendo that’s to easy we’re not 5 year olds

    It's a very mediocre game overall. Probably the most okay Pokémon game there is. There's nothing wrong about it, it just isn't all too special. The jump to 3D was appreciated and desperately needed.

    6/10. One of my favourite mainline Pokemon games. Mega evolution was a cool concept, the 3d felt really cool as a child. As a child, really conveyed the sense of adventure. However, does not hold up great today.

    Pokémon XY are a severe downgrade from B2W2 in just about every way. The new Pokémon are fairly underwhelming and lame (Except Sylveon). Character designs are bland, 3D was interesting for a while, but i hate it now. Its taken away all the charm from sprites and i wish they would just go back to 2D.

    A bit bland, but definitely fun main campaign, yet a really lackluster post game. There was a lot of novelty in seeing all the pokemon in 3D for the first time, but after this game, pokemon games unfortunately lost their visual distinctiveness

    Broken balance. I have 7 overpowered pokemons (+10 lvl) after second gym. Despite the fact that I changed them all the time and went strictly according to the plot.

    The introduction of the beautiful main saga to 3D, and a glorious update of the foundations of Pokémon.
    The most user-friendly competitive was founded, and the way of combat became richer from now on.

    I absolutely love this game! Even though I sadly lost the cartridge, I still have extremely fond memories of beating gym leaders, shoving coins under my circle pad overnight to do circles around the Prism Tower in Lumiose city to get poke miles, and catching Yveltal ! The memories of playing this game at my grandma's house on Christmas day of 2014 are some of the greatest memories that II absolutely love this game! Even though I sadly lost the cartridge, I still have extremely fond memories of beating gym leaders, shoving coins under my circle pad overnight to do circles around the Prism Tower in Lumiose city to get poke miles, and catching Yveltal ! The memories of playing this game at my grandma's house on Christmas day of 2014 are some of the greatest memories that I still cherish to this day. I also like how you use roller skates for faster movement instead of the generic bike like most other pokemon games.… Expand

    For the first 3D Pokemon game, it's a masterpiece. It's the kind of adventure i and, everyone expect from a Pokemon game. The story is excellent with some heavy emotion parts. The Kalos region is also really nice to travel through. But the thing i love the most about this game is the OST. All the themes are memorable and as a VG music lover, i can't do nothing else than listening to theFor the first 3D Pokemon game, it's a masterpiece. It's the kind of adventure i and, everyone expect from a Pokemon game. The story is excellent with some heavy emotion parts. The Kalos region is also really nice to travel through. But the thing i love the most about this game is the OST. All the themes are memorable and as a VG music lover, i can't do nothing else than listening to the whole album again and again. The musics are cleverly composed and convey such emotions that i can't stop crying while listening it. For me, it's a Must-Play in the Pokemon series which worth way more than the actual Sword and Shield games that feel rushed beside this true video game monument. I can't do anything than encourage you, even 7 years after, to play this game again. (Oh, yea, i almost forgot the Mega evolution which was a revolution in the pokemon series (where is my Mega Charizard in SwSh ;-c ) and the really fun mini games you could play with your pokemons)… Expand

    It’s probably just nostalgia but I’ve played this game at least 4 times and it’s quite fun. While I wish we got to see more Pokémon diversity in some of the parts still a great game.

    Honestly I like Yveltal which is why I rated this game 6/10 instead of 5/10. I really don't like the difficulty its to easy I guess that this game is aimed at smaller kids who dont know anything about pokemon :/ The story is decent the graphics are fine but theres so much dialog and cutscenes I was lucky to get a shiny Froakie in 13 attempts if i did more I wouldve gave up as it takes 5Honestly I like Yveltal which is why I rated this game 6/10 instead of 5/10.     At the end of Y, Shauna showed up at the door and said she would trade me any pokemon, she asked me if I mind? I suddenly remembered that forest, this girl told me that she wanted to catch a pikachu but has not yet caught it, and I thought, why don't I catch one for her? but obviously it was a pointless saying by gamefreak, but I still brought that pikachu and when this girl said that, I gave my pikachu that I trained all the way to her without any hesitation And you know, maybe the kids forget very quickly, or should I say gamefreak is building characters that are really lazy and pointless? The beauty on the surface cannot hide the emptiness, but I still enjoy it, I love the game that I like has changed a lot and succeeded in a different way, you know it's just a small thing like that, I wish it wasn't just a profitable trade but the attention of the player to the enthusiasm and dedication of gamefreak, a player like me so happy, I'll end here. . I really want to play the game with enthusiasm so I stop here, that pikachu is not just an exchange for me, it's my farewell to the childhood that you gave me, thank you gamefreak.    … Expand

    Sí bien cuenta con una historia no tan atractiva, la mejora en mecánicas de combate junto a adiciones bastante buenas cómo lo es la inclusión del tipo Hada y las Mega-evoluciones, así como también el salto gráfico al 3d, son puntos bastante fuertes que te harán disfrutar de esta aventura Pokémon.

    First mainline pokemon game to go 3d. The pokemon models look great, compared to the character models which look like bobble heads. The new pokemons in this game look great and the new fairy typing is a cool addition.

    I mean if you take the quality-of-life features out of it, by inflation.
    The 'friend' group that you have is awful compared to all the others. (Not a high bar to reach, but there ya go.) The amount of pokemon included with the game is great. But why?     The amount of pokemon included with the game is great. But why? Every, EVERY time they add another 150ish pokemon to a game, they nerf and rebalance the game. While this is understandable, it really shines in some games, more than others. PokemonXY has some great newer generation pokemon, and the rest is now hundreds, HUNDREDS of mediocre pokemon that lost THAT much more reason to use 'em.

    The story is awful, and the writing is worse. Did they try to create more of a bad guy? Yes. Which means a harder fail. It makes for pretty good memes about awful speeches, though.

    The french aspect to the game means plenty of bourgeoise nonsense, which is fine... until you play some of the better regions. Ulola (Hawaiian) region is AMAZING, compared to XY. I'm partial to New York / Unova, but whatevs.

    Now all of this is fine, but what really gets me is the pacing of XY. Pokemon games are notoriously bad at pacing, you might reach and get the first lvl20 badge while your party has level 25s... but then find yourself getting the lvl40 badge and you dont even have any lvl 30s in your party. HOW DOES THIS WORK?!
    Ahem, but anyway.. the story and the diffiulty progression arent just OFF, they are 'off' as in.. there are long stretches of road with few trainers or any story.. no great pokemon to catch.. just filler areas.
    There are story areas that slow the game to a halt while you go watch a fireworks show or investigate what team undeveloped is doing over in Paristown or Fleur De Lisville.

    And MEGA EVOLUTIONS OMFG they suck. Absolute garbage temporary evolutions that, at worst.. arent sufficiently explained via the story, and at worst turn great pokemon into barely powered-up versions of themselves that still dont address their typematching and weaknesses. I didnt like Z-power, either.. but at least it didnt try to replace proper evolution! Powering up a move type is far better.
    Weak region, weak story, weak balancing, 3d effect barely used on 3d systems, framerate issues, weak pacing, no post-endgame stuff. Whatever you guys enjoy this game will be replaced by the next game you play. Try Sun/moon and sword/shield.. you'll never go back to XY, again.
    (Hell, even ORAS or BW12 is more streamlined and accessible, outside of water regions or confusing cities)    … Expand

    Not the worst, but meh. The game at the end is fun, but story is dull. It's better than Sword and Shield, but is not the best thing out there. If you're looking for a good Pokémon game this is not the case.

The overarching theme of the game, being a lush Paris lifestyle with lots of gardens and villages, follows you throughout the entire game, while still keeping slight contrast. Game Freak had a lot on their plate trying to nudge Pokemon towards the world of 3D, and they did a great job of keeping it tame.

    Changing up the art style and    Pokemon Y is quite the innovative piece of art. The overarching theme of the game, being a lush Paris lifestyle with lots of gardens and villages, follows you throughout the entire game, while still keeping slight contrast. Game Freak had a lot on their plate trying to nudge Pokemon towards the world of 3D, and they did a great job of keeping it tame.

    Changing up the art style and dimensions of an already successful franchise is tough business, but Game Freak knew what kind of work they had cut out for them. Music carried the heart and soul of Pokemon through the entire game, reminding you that when you enter a new city, or your Pokemon is sent out to battle, that this is still the Pokemon adventure you set off on long ago. The Mega Evolution idea was very interesting, and added a cool new power to play around with about half way through the game. It immediately made sense as part of the Pokemon world, even if you don't quite understand it at first.

    The story of the game follows suit with the rest of Pokemon games. It's not awfully original, but the developers clearly tried to draw a line in the story to make it stand out from the rest. In all honesty, it didn't feel like a whole new world, just a new region to explore and conquer, which I loved, though I'm not sure how new Pokemon players feel about the lack of hand holding.

    Pokemon designs are fresh, the region and story stand out from the crowd, and there are several new features to get accustomed with and enjoy. There isn't much wrong with this game at all other that it's seemingly careful approach to not diverge from the typical ideas of the Pokemon series. Even then though, they pulled it off well and made sure it didn't fall into forgetfulness. Being not an awfully hard game, it's worth the pickup for anybody with a 3DS looking for a new adventure to dive into.    … Expand

    Story sucks (thanks god we had the great SM after this), difficulty is the worst by far in the series and the game feel unfinished. After all, those games are not as bad as people say, but are not the best entries.

    Once again, Game Freak hits the nail squarely on the head, making Pokémon X and Y an excellent new addition to the series' expansive library. Rather than pixelated models of the previous generations, models here are full 3d, which means the battles look like more like the anime then ever before.     Im beating for the third time now ((off) i sort of regret to not have bought the X version... anyway), and somehow still having some joy.

    I think there is a big variety of monsters rather than others games: while some have what, 150? 200?, Pokémon Y has FOUR HUNDRED or so.

    Difficulty:

    The difficulty in this game is pitiful. Gym leaders and Elite Four members present as much of a threat as the first few trainers you find at the beginning of the game. The champion of the Kalos Pokemon League was a grave disappointment. Diantha posed hardly any threat whatsoever, her Pokemon being weak and a cakewalk to get through.

    The wild Pokemon are not appropriately level-scaled. You'll be finding wild Pokemon much, much lower level than your own Pokemon almost immediately if you actually play the game how it is meant to be played. It makes it boring to get a lot of wild battles, instead of fun and challenging.

    Graphics:

    Graphically, this game is great for a 3DS game. The colours are bright and vibrant, making the world around you more vivid and believable, though it isn't all the way. It wouldn't have been too hard to animate some Pidgey or Fletchling flying around the open field areas, more Pokemon walking out in the open.

    The models for human and Pokemon characters alike are well done and the animation was executed nicely. The only issue I really have is that they aren't DOING things. For the most part, they just stand there, waiting for you to talk to or battle them. Again, this is referring to the believability of the appearance of the settings.

    Pokemon:

    As for the 72 Pokemon added in the sixth generation...they're okay. Nothing stellar about this rather small group(compared to regions like Johto and Hoenn) added in here. The starters are especially half decent. The Greninja line is really the only one to stand out and have great design put in.

    The legendaries are good, better than a lot of the others in their generation. By far, the best is Zygarde, which is sort of sad because it isn't even the main legendary in the game and is relatively easy to capture.

    Now for the other 60 Gen 6 Pokemon. Some of them are actually pretty neat, surpassing some Gen 5 Pokemon. However, most of them fail to impress with a lackluster design.

    The Region:

    Kalos is a well-made region itself. The sheer size of it is a testament to the effort put into its design and structure. Having the Prism Tower, this game's Eiffel Tower, as a gym was a neat touch.

    One big disappointment was the Battle Mansion. Taking out the added fun from the extra challenges in the different facilities of the Battle Frontier, such as the Battle Factory. In The Battle Factory, you would use Rental Pokemon to battle with instead of your own, adding a new degree of challenge to otherwise ordinary battles. Which is exactly why the Battle Mansion falls flat. It takes out the fun ideas and challenges of the Frontier, leaving you with an unimaginative, generic row of battles.

    New Mechanics:

    The movement was vastly changed, obviously, from the many previous iterations. It is slick and simply controlled by anybody. The grid is still present, making the movement more snappy and less realistic, but roller skates help with that. Not only providing a speed boost, they also do away with the grid whilst you are using them.

    Super Training could have been a lot better than mashing the Touch Screen to pop a giant balloon. After doing it a few times, it gets boring and repetitive, despite attempts to keep it entertaining. It's much more enjoyable and entertaining to EV train your Pokemon by battling in the wild.

    Poke Amie is a cute little addition to the Touch Screen-based area of the game. It contains 3 minigames that are calm and relaxed. You can pet and feed your Pokemon to raise affection. This is the only way to obtain a Sylveon without trading.

    Narrative:

    The antagonists of this game were not as well fabricated as the region they exist in. Team Flare has just not got the flare Team Galactic or Team Rocket do, nowhere even close. It does not help that their leader, Lysandre, is dull as well. The climax of the Team Flare section of the story isn't the best. You battle Lysandre a whole 4 times, which gets repetitive and boring due to the lack of change in his team between each battle, making the final battle against him after obtaining Yveltal less climactic.

    The post-game gets a bit annoying towards the end. See, after the first few battles with Essentia, once you do the final battle, she goes down to 2 Pokemon. Which makes no sense, since she had been gaining one Pokemon after each defeat. Unfortunately, it gets easier at the end of the post-game.

    Conclusion:

    Pokemon Y is a decent game, good for those new to the series. Even then, they will probably enjoy older Pokemon games rather than this. Though they may like the low difficulty levels, the repetitive post-game and climax battles may cause them to get bored. Those looking for a compelling antagonist may wish to look elsewhere, as Lysandre falls terribly short.    … Expand

    Disappointing compared to the originals and way to easy. In my opinion the Pokemon games get worse each game. It's not terrible and X and Y have a lot of good points such as the game looking great. However in my opinion the positives just don't outweigh the negatives enough for me to love this game. Again I enjoyed playing it but it was still incredibly disappointing.

    Pros:
    Good Graphics: The game is amazingly beautiful, with cell shading and beautiful models
    Pokemon Amie: Great time waster, amazingly fun
    Greninja and Talonflame: the best of this region
    That's all I found to be fun.

    Cons:
    Terrible Story: After the amazing Black and White, and Black 2 and White 2's Story, this game stepped down.
    Terrible team: Stupid, unlikeable, and just plain bad, they aren't that threatening and don't do much.
    Too Easy: At least add a difficulty setting, the game is stupidly easy, with the exp share, and the low-level AI
    Terrible Designs: Outside of Talonflame and Greninja, the rest all suck.
    Too focused on Graphics: PARFUM PALACE DID NOT NEED TO EXIST!
    Mega Evolutions: Too broken, especially in competitive.

    This game was overhyped and right now it's overrated, and terrible. 1/10    … Expand

    -Kalos is a very boring and generic pokemon region, and also really small compared to B2W2 (maybe the second smallest region after Kanto)
    -The bad guy is awful and wouldn't be accepted as a cheesy spy film villain (his plan being to kill everybody)
    -The "Rivals"... They are so awful, they are all the same character, the happy go lucky kid that stalks you everywhere and are a real pain (also, got to share the glory by doing absolutely nothing to save the region)
    -The addition of mega-evolutions completely broke the solo game
    -No end game (I know there is one but it's so riiculous that it feels like none)
    -Zygare is a joke for a legendary pokemon
    -The overuse of nostalgia to hook older player in the pokemon universe which is a really weak way to do that
    -The tips... Why?
    -The game is way too easy
    -The pacing is awful, slow then very fast, especially the arena part
    -No stereoscopic 3d on the map and dropping the FPS when used during battles... So you'll basically never use it

    Overall, this game feels unfinished, unpolished. A lot of plot points never get resolved, the good ideas this game could have had completely misuses them. A game done without any passion or care which is a first for a pokemon game.
    For now (and I hope, forever) it is the worst pokemon game and pokemon Gen I've ever played. And I played all the main games.    … Expand

    This game has great 3D animation in it. Overall the features and the new Pokemon are great. Though the EXP share makes this game WAY TO EASY!!! Plus there is next to nothing for post game. Going back to Pro's, the mega evolution's are cool and I like the mix of new and old Pokemon you can find throughout the region.

Does it make me a genwunner? Not really as I found some new favorites too. The most immediate impression you will have with Poke'mon X/Y is that it significantly overhauls the visuals. Battles are now rendered in full 3D and are a joy to behold.

    The Poke'mon series hasn't evolved dramatically over the years but it has added new mechanics over time that all come into play in Poke'mon X/Y. Prior games introduced things like dual types, natures, IV's and EV's, breeding, team battles, etc. It even allows you to fully customize a male or female character for the first time. Poke'mon X and Y introduces Mega Evolution that can change your poke'mon's type among other things mid-battle which adds another layer of complexity.

    Pokemon X/Y also has a robust online with additions like Wonder Trading. The slot machine like nature of wonder trade is a gamble but it can certainly pay off if people offer more than just another diglet, vulpix, or other common poke'mon.

    The story which is simple but serviceable will last you about 40 hours give or take. But I was surprised to find that playing a half hour here, a hour there, all total I had put over 600 hours into Poke'mon X. Collecting, trading, evolving and battling are as addictive as ever. The meta game in Poke'mon offers plenty of value alone. Building a team and raising their stats through super training or even just trying to collect all 700+ poke'mon. Poke'mon X and its counterpart Y are perhaps the best main entries in the series to date.    … Expand

The characters models are great and the scenery is beautiful. I still enjoyed the game, though. I liked the leap the main series made into 3D. The characters models are great and the scenery is beautiful. My problem with it? Well, it seems a bit easy compare to the other games. No Pokemon games are truly challenging, but this game felt a bit...too easy. The new graphics look beautiful and the developers love to show it off in this game with various bench views. I think the mega evolutions are great but I have a problem with them. Other than that there is the story which if you've ever played a pokemon game you already know. But no one actually plays for the story. I also really liked pokemon amie and the wonder trade is decent. The GTS is terrible though. A few seconds of being on there proves that when you see all the caterpies that will stay there forever because no one in their right mind would trade one of those for an Arceus. In conclusion you should buy this. The good outweigh the bad by far.… Expand

    Just picked this up on sale at Target and I honestly can't believe I overlooked such a fun title. It's all battle based and I think that's perfect for the Pokemon world. It's been a blast playing the reissued Pokemon Yellow on the 3DS and picking this up as it's the modernized version has been a blast.     Poke'mon X/Y gives the Poke'mon series the shot in the arm it needed. As a lapsed fan it certainly succeeded in pulling me back in. Perhaps part of that is due to the familiar faces from Generation 1 that I had grown up with. Does that make me nostalgic? Perhaps. Does it make me a genwunner? Not really as I found some new favorites too. The most immediate impression you will have withPoke'mon X/Y gives the Poke'mon series the shot in the arm it needed. Does it make me a genwunner? Not really as I found some new favorites too. The most immediate impression you will have with Poke'mon X/Y is that it significantly overhauls the visuals. Battles are now rendered in full 3D and are a joy to behold.

    The Poke'mon series hasn't evolved dramatically over the years but it has added new mechanics over time that all come into play in Poke'mon X/Y. Prior games introduced things like dual types, natures, IV's and EV's, breeding, team battles, etc. It even allows you to fully customize a male or female character for the first time. Poke'mon X and Y introduces Mega Evolution that can change your poke'mon's type among other things mid-battle which adds another layer of complexity.

    Pokemon X/Y also has a robust online with additions like Wonder Trading. The slot machine like nature of wonder trade is a gamble but it can certainly pay off if people offer more than just another diglet, vulpix, or other common poke'mon.

    The story which is simple but serviceable will last you about 40 hours give or take. But I was surprised to find that playing a half hour here, a hour there, all total I had put over 600 hours into Poke'mon X. Collecting, trading, evolving and battling are as addictive as ever. The meta game in Poke'mon offers plenty of value alone. Building a team and raising their stats through super training or even just trying to collect all 700+ poke'mon. Poke'mon X and its counterpart Y are perhaps the best main entries in the series to date.    … Expand

    I'm not going to say that old Pokemon games were better, because I love Pokemon White, along with HG/SS but this game really quite honestly bores me. The 3D is only really that useful in battles. I would have loved to have seen that when just exploring the world. The storyline has its ups and downs, but it kind of bored me. You can easily strong arm through this game with your starter Pokemon. That's something you couldn't do with Pokemon Yellow, Pikachu would have died so many times it would have made the game not fun.     I got to say, I love this game. The new Pokemon are actually great, the new 3D design is awesome, and I found the atmosphere to be improved over Black and White.     This game wasn't worth it, it was boring and bland, the partners are AWFUL and the theme to them is crap, Team Flare has to most stupidest Villan ever and the "Destory ugly" plot was awful.

    Graphically Pokemon X/Y is the best but two things hold it back. That is lack of Pokemon and the ease of gym battles.. As for lack of new Pokemon it is apparent that GameFreak has ran out of ideas for new varieties but what gets me is the ease of the battles. It is about time that GameFreak put a skill level for newcomers and expert players.
