Oct 17, 2013Why there are so few new Pokémon and such an emphasis on the old ones is really up to speculation, but all I know is that there’s a Chespin out there who needs a pet.

Oct 4, 2013Despite the nagging feeling that something's missing, Pokémon X and Y make some huge leaps forward for both the competitive and casual crowds. I just wish these games felt as complete as their predecessors.

Oct 28, 2013Pokémon X/Y is a marvelous refinement of a tried and true concept, both larger and better than its predecessors. Despite this, it is unmistakenly a repetition of that old concept, one which may be past its prime in the presence of contemporary iterations on the concept, such as Skylanders or Ni No Kuni.

Oct 25, 2013There’s a good game in Pokemon X, and fans looking for another game near-identical to the ones before it likely won’t find issue with a lot of the dusty trimmings and transparent battle system. If you want to get into into the new stat rebuilding features and grind out tons of easy battles to prep for high-level online multiplayer, it’s never been easier to do so. But for all else, the game’s excellent visuals belie the frustratingly old-fashioned design. RPG folk can find better times on their 3DS.
