This simulation is stunted. The ball physics feel unrealistic, almost as if I'm rolling a die for a pre-rendered ball path, rather than actually playing pinball. The ball itself has no visible indication of spin.

Aside from the actual artistic display, the actual game-play for this game is like taking a step back 20+ years in pinball simulation. This was one of my first 3DS game

Aside from the actual artistic display, the actual game-play for this game is like taking a step back 20+ years in pinball simulation. This was one of my first 3DS game purchases, and it was highly regretted.

Pokemon pinball, and Kirby pinball for the Gameboy were both better than this. Both sets of Zen pinball tables available on the 3DS eShop are better than this. These examples all have ball spin, as well as indication of spin visible on the ball, and the physics are functional and do not feel like the ball is moving through molasses three quarters of the time. The 3DS zen pinball tables also look better and make better use of the 3D depth hinting to improve the experience. So, get any of these, rather than PHoF: The Williams Collection for 3DS.

The Williams Collection Pinball Hall of Fame 3D is a fun pinball game, but it is way too expensive. The game offers simply too little for fourty bucks.

Since there are not many pinball simulations on the 3DS, Pinball Hall of Fame 3D: The Williams Collection can be recommended for any pinball fan.

I'd urge you to pick it up for a different platform if you have the means to do so. It's a very competent pinball title on every other system, but something has fallen apart in its transition to the 3DS. If you can get past these flaws, you'll probably have a good time with it, but I can't, knowing that this content exists in a better form elsewhere.
