Everyone's favorite pink blob finally arrives on the 3DS and, for better or worse, his game is exactly what one would expect.

In Triple Deluxe, you'll control Kirby as he swallows foes and gains abilities, defeating scary bosses and solving puzzles that start simple and get progressively harder. Each stage holds a number of sun stones, the game's main collectible, and a number of them is needed to access boss stages. There are also hidden keychains, themed after Kirby games of yore, which get neatly displayed in a gallery once found. All in all, there's a bit of a "if it ain't broken, don't fix it" mentality permeating all of the gameplay, which means that it's hard to avoid feeling a sense of déjà-vu. It's pleasant as always, but unlikely to provide "wow" moments.

Triple Deluxe's one new feature of note is called hypernova. By eating a miracle fruit, Kirby becomes able to swallow objects of humongous sizes, which is goofy good fun. This way, he can solve puzzles in interesting new ways, even if the abundance of cutscene-like moments of gameplay means the new ability overstays its welcome in some stages. For example: if you need Kirby to swallow an enormous tree, all you need to do is press the button, and then be treated with an animation that last several seconds, without the need of further controller input. These animations start out as a curious little novelty, but it doesn't take long to realise these moments could be even better spent by actually controlling Kirby.

Aside from that, there are a couple extra game modes: Kirby Fighters is a fun but watered down Smash Bros clone, while Dedede's Drum Dash is a rhythm-based game that is unlikely to hold your attention for long.

Like most Kirby games, Triple Deluxe is good light-hearted fun, and an excellent way for younger or less experienced gamers to get their gaming fix, due to the intuitiveness of the controls and the ease of avoiding platforming traps (thanks to Kirby's flight). It also, well, features Kirby, which is reason enough to give any game a chance. Still, it really doesn't do much to differentiate itself from the plethora of Kirby games we got before, making it unlikely that this one will become a classic.

triple deluxe is far too slow paced and easy to be a real good kirby game.
It is probably the worst kirby game ever made next to avalanche, and avalanche was great by normal game standards.
the running speed, action speed, and game engine speed in general is laughable and speed is a huge deal. just use the wheel for, its a joke how slow it goes. triple deluxe is a kirby game for 3 year

just use the wheel for, its a joke how slow it goes. triple deluxe is a kirby game for 3 year old children. almost like the devs thought they had to make a parody of a Kirby game, or thought it was expected of Kirby games to be very slow and easy and overly bright and plasticy (to think there was once a time when kirby games were known for their amazing graphics)

Although the key-chains and hearts show that the dev's hearts were in the wrong place, the engine's easy and slow game-play really makes it a Kirby game no where near as good as amazing mirror, superstar, or the original dreamland series.

This game has fantastic presentation and oozes charm. It's so colourful and cute that it can't help but make you smile.

That being said the game is also very short, and for most $60 games you are getting far more for your money's worth. Even with the hidden levels it only takes around ten hours to complete, and the difficulty level is set so low (even compared to other Kirby games) that

Kirby Triple Deluxe on the 3DS is an interesting game with nice abilities and game mechanics, but is honestly too easy. I did finish the story mode (70% / 136 keychains / all sun stones), but I always felt like I wanted to quit as it was too easy and repetitive at times. The bosses are a little bit harder, but not that difficult. I personally buy a game for the main story mode therefore IKirby Triple Deluxe on the 3DS is an interesting game with nice abilities and game mechanics, but is honestly too easy. The collectibles were very easy to find 95% of the time which I do not like. A lot of people like the Hypernova ability…it is cool, but very repetitive and you are only swallowing everything on your route. In my book, this game deserves a 7 out of 10 (8 if it was harder) Expand

Просто хорошая часть с Кирби. Ни рыба, ни мясо. Советую сыграть, если вы не знакомы с этой серией, а хардкорным фанатам лучше задуматься

It's a mediocre 2D platformer. Its semi-fun but not all too special. It's okay.

Kirby: Triple Deluxe is an alright game. It takes other things from past games and adds a 3D mode to it. (I guess this isn't really a game thing but the 3D hurts my eyes.) The level designs are fun but are pretty similar to other games. The Hyper-nova ability was tons of fun and sucking up massive buildings was awesome. I get that this is a Kirby game but it's so easy. The only sort of challenge was The True Arena and that wasn't that bad. Triple Deluxe can also be annoying due to the repetitiveness that other games in the series have avoided. Overall Kirby: Triple Deluxe is an alright game. Expand

If you're looking for a light-as-air platformer to turn to in this era of grizzled shooters and dark adventure, Kirby's the right kind of good, clean fun to cleanse your palate.

Kirby Triple Deluxe is an improvement of the series' design, and also of other series' elements.

Without doing anything particularly innovative or great, this adventure of the beloved Kirby is a quite good platformer, ideal for your summer vacation with your 3DS.
