While this game breaks away from the traditional game play of the other Pikmin titles, I still find it fun and enjoyable. Believe me, nothing too hard here, but it keeps me entertained and doesn't require too much brain power.

Seeing as how we have 3 Pikmin games consisting of time-managing progress, Nintendo decided to create something new for the series, and that's how we got "Hey! Pikmin". This time, instead of keeping your eye on the clock while freely exploring a 3D environment, you are now playing in 2D levels without time stressing you out.

Your mission is to find 30,000 Sparklium to refuel your spaceship. However that's easier said than done, as each level can only give you 10-30 sparklium. So that's means you're going to be going through a lot of levels. And that wouldn't be so bad if all the levels didn't feel so slow. Gary the Snail could go light years faster than Olimar. Not to mention he can't (technically) jump. An important aspect lost in this 2D Platformer.

It is a unique concept of using the touch screen to throw Pikmin, but it would've been better if they would not constantly hold your hand through out the entire game by supporting Pikmin everywhere. Even during bosses, Pikmin would show up anytime you lose some.

The game introduces a new idea of the Pikmin Park, where during your adventure, the Pikmin you leave there will be digging for more Sparklium. It's not a bad idea, and it is helpful.

Overall, "Hey! Pikmin" has a great concept of putting Olimar and the adorable Pikmin in a 2D platformer, but sadly, having the constant hand-holding and the molasses slow space veteran doesn't improve it's chances of getting a sequel.

While charming with the names and creature designs, and the occasional addition to lore, it becomes increasingly repetitive and difficult to sit through

Good game by itself not that great of a pikmin though using the touch screen to aim pikmin is a creative idea though

Boring, bland, and generic, Hey Pikmin lacks all of the unique puzzle solving, creativity, and excitement that the previous games had.

Schade

well Pikmin is my favorite franchise of NIntendo, but teh 3ds one is soooo mediocre, 2side plataform for a game thats its own origin is 3ds and explotarion, realtiem strategy was a mistake. Its cute but it leave me a bad taste for a pikmin game.

Hey! Pikmin was always a doomed project even conceptually.

I have a lot of respect for what these developers were attempting to accomplish but it never really came together.

I would not recommend Hey! Pikmin.

Nintendo I keep saying this and saying this: Put your effort into the gamers, not untrustworthy video game critics because this is actually a pretty good game. It's simple: yes, but you can tell by the word usage of the critics that they didn't finish the game for the review. They saw it was a platformer and slapped it with a mediocre score.

I played both pikmin on Wiiu and 3ds and I have to say 3ds version is better. Yes Wiiu version is harder and better graphic but I feel everything else is more simple and enjoyable. I've had more fun on the 3ds than Wiiu version. Don't miss out this excellent title because bad review...

Just beat the game. Didn't play other entries in the series and I was totally not expected to see suck low score for this awesome game. Excellent game, creative game design and level design. Just cool and chill game to play. I'm pretty sure that I'll want to beat it again in a year or two.

This game is quite solid, but the Pikmin is really cute and it's a somewhat enjoyable game, kinda colorful, a great strategy game, and a okay amiibo support.

A Very mid game for what it is, it is probably my least favorite Pikmin game because it's just completely different compared to The Others but if you view it as a game on its own then it's honestly. Not Too bad if you view it as a separate game rather than the other Pikmin games because it's not like the other Pikmin games. Honestly, it's sort of sad seeing all these mediocre reviews about Hey!, this game is not oly a bad pikmin game, but a plain bad platformer in general. to all the others reading the reviews, if you're planning to get this, don't, you'd be better off saving a penny and buying either one of the three original pikmin games or wait a bit of time for pikmin 4.

It's a really good game. The platforming is good, the puzzles are nice, and the art style is really good for a 3DS game and the Ost is a banger!

In my opinion it is the worst Pikmin game but far from the worst game I've ever played, not horrible but not fun to experience on anything less powerful than a new 3ds, the game is okay at best but does not compare to the rest.

Hey! Pikmin lacks the smarts and the sheer visual appeal of the main series, but it's a warmly appealing diversion for fans and younger newcomers.

Hey! Pikmin feels like a distraction, a time filler until the next 'proper' Pikmin arrives on Nintendo Switch – whenever that may be. While often delightful and frequently pleasant, its simple charms can't make up for extreme simplicity and a turgid pace. One best suited for Pikmin purists, if such a breed exists.

If you’re looking for a traditional Pikmin experience this is not the game for you. Hey! Pikmin is a very sedate, gentle walk through the diminutive shoes of Captain Olimar and his Pikmin pals. It’s comparable to the level of challenge found in a Kirby game, which is to say you have to go out of your way to have your skills tested. For what it is, Hey! Pikmin is a cute, whimsical platformer that gets a lot right and a lot wrong, resulting in a middling experience overall.
