Sep 24, 2012When a game is so far outside the square in terms of creativity, it can be a dangerous dance between something ridiculous and genius. Fortunately FreakyForms Deluxe: Your Creations, Alive! falls into the almost genius category with its charming and simplistic gameplay with massive customisation options. With fun gameplay, easy controls, this is definitely the most quirky game of the year and if you're looking for something totally different, check it out!

Jul 31, 2012There's no denying the dungeons are a minor addition, however, so anyone who owns the original 3DSWare release may not see the value in upgrading. Everyone else, you'll need to still have that childlike sense of play and a certain ability to make your own fun – or at least some children of your own – to get the most out of this.

Aug 14, 2012If you can't get enough of creating colourful and unique creatures, you'll get the right tool with this game.

Oct 1, 2012It shows so much promise, and you'll love your first couple of hours, but it will become stale well before it should.

Aug 11, 2012This game is difficult to describe. It is somewhere childish, but it's also cute. It's all about creating and exploring. It's a decent game but a little bit weird to play and understand.

Jul 31, 2012Freakyforms comes alive only if you invest the time. Don't, and there's not much here besides sticking eyes on shapes and making them jump through hoops.
-
Jul 30, 2012A simple proposal to foster creativity, especially in the younger players. An entertaining game that has jumped from the digital stores to the retail and somewhat lacks some more content.
-
Jul 25, 2012If you haven't played FreakyForms before, this is probably the version to get, though the few improvements aren't enough to make the extra investment worthwhile for those who already own the downloadable version.

Nintendo PowerNov 11, 2012It's a bland platformer filled with repetitive tasks. [Nov 2012, p.76]

Jul 27, 2012You're not buying much of a game with Freakyforms Deluxe: Your Creations, Alive! but if you're of a creative persuasion, that shouldn't stop you from taking a closer look.
-
Jan 23, 2013If you want a game that captures what Freakyforms Deluxe tries to do, you're best served hunting down the Drawn to Life games for the original DS. Kids might find the game entertaining in spite of the number of demos, but without a demo, it's hard to recommend risking the cost.

Jul 30, 2012The creature editor is still fun, but this is no more a video game than the first version and considerably less value for money.
