Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure

People who love the classic title will really enjoy it on the 3DS, as it's the best entry in the series and puzzle lovers who love a challenge will enjoy it.

Fans of the original Dr. Mario (and Luigi's germbuster sequel) will enjoy Miracle Cure as an enjoyable, if not original, game.

Featuring three different game modes from throughout the franchise's history, as well as preset scenarios to clear and online multiplayer, this is easily the most packed Dr. Mario game yet.

The only unquestionably valuable new feature in comparison to the previous Dr. Mario is the online mode. [09/2015, p.69]

Miracle Cure is a few healthy refinements away from the category of controlled substance, and purchasing it won’t require your driver’s license. But purely as a source of unique puzzle entertainment, it has all the active ingredients of an addictive puzzler—just with a few unwanted side effects.

Fun puzzler, until you run out of new things to do and feel the drain of the repetition.

While not perfect, if you’re looking for some Dr. Mario on the go, Miracle Cure is still worth a shot.

A more powerful medicine won't necessarily work better, but as long as the traditional formula stands, it's interesting to experiment with new treatments.

Even without the new content, Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure is a worthwhile addition to the serious puzzle fan's gaming library. It just doesn't offer enough that's new compared to Dr. Luigi to warrant a glowing recommendation if you already invested in that other recent release.

It's also certainly worth a buy if you're into Dr. Mario multiplayer, where it can be played locally or online with a ranking system.

It’s a funny and addictive gameplay but it’s still the same, old gameplay.

It's still a good puzzle game, good for nostalgic players.

Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure hasn't done much in terms of innovation, but its classic, solid gameplay is still a joy to experience. Thanks to the relatively short levels, Miracle Cure is perfect to play during a break or while traveling.

There really isn't a whole lot to Miracle Cure if you aren't going to play multiplayer with a friend who shares your passion.

The new Miracle Cures add welcome new flourishes to the classic puzzle gameplay, and the sheer wealth of content on offer makes this a bargain. Even once you've ignored the awful Luigi bits.

Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure does the bare minimum to advance the series, but a wealth of content makes this a good proposition for fans of the series.

An edition for 3DS somewhat rich for options and content, but overall presentation is pretty weak.

Another installment for the Dr. Mario franchise that doesn´t represent a step forward for the series, but nevertheless it´s a right puzzle game.

Miracle Cure doesn’t really break the mould in any way for the puzzler genre. It throws you a selection of levels and different modes, it gives you several different power-ups, but overall it frustrates and fails to excite.

The main mechanics are all there, this time with the additional factor of online multiplayer, which can lead to intense moments of bedlam across territories. What it offers in ambition, though, it lacks in innovation and graphical quality, with very modest visual and sound environments and a resolution that can be problematic in the first model of the Nintendo 3DS.

Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure doesn't do much to rock the boat that the series has built over the last couple of decades. This is both a good thing and a bad thing, as the game doesn't ruin what fans have loved, but it also doesn't offer much to bring them back either.
