Oct 9, 2014Visuals and sound are touched up enough that it does not feel like shovelware, but it also doesn't try to be more than a typical mini-game collection.
-
Mar 11, 2015Bon Appétit is the same old, enjoyable, Cooking Mama game. If you have played it before, forget it. If you have a kid or a little brother/sister, Mama can be a funny teacher.
-
Oct 6, 2014Cooking Mama 5 isn’t the deepest or freshest experience around — it’s an iterative rather than innovative entry in a series whose core concept of stylus-based cooking gameplay remains the same as ever — but for the right audience it’s a whole lot of fun.
-
Mar 25, 2015Cooking Mama: Bon Appétit ! sticks to the strict minimum by recycling most of its features. Only the Dojo cooking mode manages to bring some renewn enjoyment . We really wish that Nintendo would add real recipes to a game that will continue to sell anyway.
-
Jun 8, 2015Without too much risk, this new chapter featuring the most famous chef on 3DS does not make sensible improvements and proposes that same recipe that has enchanted hundreds of thousands of gamers. Despite this, the award-winning formula is starting to feel a bit tired.
-
Mar 10, 2015It is the fifth episode, but it could be the first and no one would realize. Cooking Mama: Bon Appétit! does absolutely nothing to put a little innovation into a recipe that is starting to taste stale.
-
Mar 5, 2015It doesn't add anything new to the classic formula. Maybe the time has come to try new recipes, even for ol' Mama.
-
Mar 3, 2015Not so much Masterchef, more Easybake oven.
-
Oct 8, 2014With a wealth of content, improved controls, and some addicting minigames to play, Cooking Mama 5 has brought the series back up to par– here’s hoping Majesco can push forward even more and really make the franchise shine if it ever graces us with a sixth installment.
-
Mar 3, 2015While the intentions may be good, Cooking Mama: Bon appetit! suffers from an overall sense of repetitiveness in its gameplay mechanics and in its sound component. Some of the minigames are fun enough to keep a certain interest but the lack of a feeling of real progression in the game's main mode makes the experience bland and less enjoyable.
-
Oct 8, 2014Cooking Mama 5: Bon Appetit is happily devoid of cohesive design. Its title character grins as she coasts on the series’ prior successes, and exists today as a shallow, uninteresting non-game.
