Without sugarcoating it, Comic Workshop 2 is nearly identical to the original Comic Workshop application that released just under a year ago. There are a few minor tweaks that optimize the overall package, including the notable ability to post your creations to Miiverse, but it hardly feels like a completely new release.

Comic Workshop 2 is less of a follow-up and more of an update of its predecessor. Most aspects have been improved and there are some new tools which can be quite useful for those eager to create their own comics on the 3DS. The option to share images on Miiverse is also a welcome arrival.

It was an interesting experience to draw with my 3DS compared to using a real life pencil and paper which was great fun. So if you’re a budding artist or interested in creating your very own manga then Comic Workshop 2 is always open for you.

Comic Workshop isn't a bad software, but it's difficult to understand its ideal target. It's too difficult for beginners (there are no drawing or storytelling lessons) and too limited for professionals.
