Sep 13, 2011Bit.Trip SAGA stands alone as a visually enhanced, portable repackaging of some of the best games of this generation of consoles. Just like Paris, Bit.Trip SAGA is for lovers.
-
Mar 15, 2012A generally fantastic series of games let down by some very shoddy ports.
-
Sep 30, 2011The handheld format suits the Bit.Trip beats well, and although these games are available elsewhere the 3DS package is definitely one of the better and most concise ways to experience them regardless of a couple of omissions.
-
Nintendo GamerFeb 26, 2012Punishing yet utterly charming. [Feb 2012, p.98]
-
Apr 3, 2012Except for a few slow downs with the 3D effects on, this is just what portable gaming is all about. Snack sized fun with great music that just as easy to pick up as it is to put it down. Bit.Trip Saga is must have in all Nintendo 3DS collections.
-
Mar 14, 2012It's not quite as fully-featured as its Wii equivalent but this is still an excellent compilation of some of the best indie games of this generation.
-
Sep 23, 2011With addictive gameplay, gorgeous and creative use of 3D, and some amazing new control options, portable gaming enthusiasts have no reason to pass this title up.
-
Sep 22, 2011Bit.Trip Saga is an engrossing compilation of six inventive games bound together by vibrant visuals and dynamic soundtracks.
-
Sep 22, 2011Bit.Trip Saga is a game you could crawl into and live inside of comfortably for a good few weeks.
-
Sep 20, 2011Sadly, Saga is slightly gimped when measured up to its Wii counterpart, Bit.Trip Complete. Aside from sometimes-wonky controls (gyroscopic movement for your paddle in Beat or Flux are inexplicably absent, for one), 3DS owners have been bafflingly shafted on the extras Complete offers Wii users, though the bonus of 3D effects here isn't a terrible compromise. Minor gripes aside, this is still a must-own 3DS title.
-
Nintendo PowerSep 1, 2011Now, with the addition of 3D visuals, the games in handheld compilation Bit.Trip Saga are crazier than ever. [Sept 2011, p.82]
-
Apr 11, 2012Bit.Trip Saga it's not a title on the same, high level of Bit.Trip Complete. Nonetheless, its lack of content can be partially redeemed by the good use of the 3D graphics and the perfect fit in the mobile context.
-
Oct 11, 2011So is Bit.Trip Saga worth picking up? If you already own the WiiWare titles the answer is probably no. The 3D effect does add to the game, but not so much that most people will feel like rebuying them.
-
Mar 23, 2012Colourful and entertaining minigames with retro feeling.
-
Jul 16, 2012The mixture of varying styles throughout the entire Bit.Trip Saga package is enough to keep fans of rhythm games content thanks to it proving to be far more than a run-of-the-mill music-based product, instead being a wonderful combination of great tunes and intriguing genre-splicing.
-
Apr 18, 2012Only 6 mini-games in this compilation but if you like Pong and old school experiences, you will be excited to meet the very famous CommanderVideo.
-
Mar 26, 2012Bit.Trip's carefully poised fusion of old-school difficulty and retro-futuristic aesthetics won't be to everyone's taste, but anyone with an interest in distilled arcade design owes it to themselves to at least have a go.
-
Sep 16, 2011The new control variations offer a fresh spin on the games, and despite looking absolutely amazing on the small screen of the 3DS, the frame rate issues do end up bringing down the overall experience a bit. Ultimately, BIT.TRIP is still one of the best gaming series to come out of this generation, but you can't help but feel that this 3DS compilation could have been much better with a little more polish.
-
Mar 28, 2012Bit.Trip Saga may be lacking in frills, but it certainly isn't short on thrills. Granted, there are occasional problems with the 3DS controls, while the lack of extras compared to the Wii release is a little disappointing, but overall Bit.Trip Saga is an entertaining collection of games well suited to the small screens of the Nintendo 3DS.
-
Sep 23, 2011It's not the ultimate sendoff for what may very well be the end of the series, but another chance to put my fingers through the Runner gauntlet is worthwhile.
-
Sep 21, 2011Bit.Trip Saga, the 3DS set, is certainly disappointing in that it's more of a bare bones grouping of the titles as opposed to the Wii compilation.
