This feels like the final public statement from Wilson: he’s only here to vibe, cry, and spend time with his family. Music is part of his life as he still performs, but it’s not his highest aim anymore. Love and mercy is what Brian needs in his twilight years, and it seems like he has it. May his heart be full of spring.- The Film Stage

What’s tender in the film is tinged with sadness. Documentary footage of Iván and Gerardo is in harmony with absorbing performances by Armando Espitia and Christian Vasquez. And these disparate pieces under different leadership wouldn’t come together as masterfully if not for Heidi Ewing’s exceptional vision.- The Film Stage

Welcome to Chechnya is certainly an empathetic look at a harrowing struggle, but the necessary secretive nature of every element in the making of this documentary can at times leave one feeling disconnected from what’s happening.- The Film Stage

A plodding, almost trite narrative that seems engineered for Netflix viewing habits; you can ignore for a few minutes and pick back up without missing a beat.- The Film Stage

Here’s a rare sequel that matches the original by narrowing its focus. Instead of adding to the Supers’ milieu, its animators reveal new sides of the beloved family.- The Film Stage
