Not sure why all of the Zoids series have been put under "Zoids" even tho they are published by different companies and follow different timelines with no connection to each other, but that for Metacritic to fix.

This series is fondly remembered by many late 1990's kids, this was my favourite tv show to watch on repeat with my parents and I was wondering how it holds up compared to today's anime, turns out after a rewatch really really well, it could be that I'm nostalgic but looking at a lot of anime made around its time it did really dam well and it's sad to see that every other Zoids series to come out after it doesn't hold **** towards the story, characters or battles that are in Zoids new century, and even the animation seems to have gone downhill after it was given to other companies to continue. I would say comparing Zoids new century to current anime it would still be a strong 7-8/10 But 20 years ago this, in my opinion, was one of the best animes for its time and it still holds it's ground very well today, and that's why I think it deserves it's 10/10 for its time, setting that bar for mecha war style anime.

This is a 100% must watch not even just for mecha fans but anime fans in general, it's worth adding it to your anime watched library!… Expand
