Don’t expect anything deep or meaningful, but it is a fun takeoff (or should I say, ripoff) of “What Women Want” and Eli Stone.

Music and choreography are acceptable, script, plot, and acting are predictable and trite.

Fun diversion with a few real chuckles thrown in. Will probably entertain if it stays away from trying to be too preachy.

The music choices are amazing and Mandy Moore's choreography is super impressive. The stories are incredibly emotional and deeply thoughtful. One if the best shows on television.

Excellent series, I bet the critics reviews doesn't cover more than a couple of chapters, it just keeps getting better and can't wait to see season 2!
Jane Levy is amazing as Zoey.

The musical interludes are the best bits but even these are a mixed bag. ... There’s also some woefully underbaked dialogue.

    A whimsical tuneful winner. [17 Feb - 1 Mar 2020, p.8]

On the one hand, it runs on corny plots and network rom-com clichés, which is irksome and disappointing. On the other hand, there’s sweet and lively entertainment to be found in the regular musical sequences, which play like pieces of a jukebox musical, the jukebox being filled with pop songs by the likes of Cyndi Lauper and Van Morrison.
