I honestly loved the first 4 seasons, and I came in having a great lopsided bias FOR the show. But this season is just WAY to political. If I got a dollar every time they started to bring politics in for no discernable reason. I'd be a millionaire.

Along with that problem, the SFX are still fairly bad. Specifically the blood CGI still looks fairly unreal and extremely...extreme.

A great finale with a surprising twist ending. Sadly, the season finale also serves as a series finale. SyFy canceled the show after five seasons. I'm glad we had this quirky little zombie show for that long though. There is nothing quite like it on TV. We have lots of zombies and plenty of laughs to boot. My favorites include: the zombie baby (from episode 1), the zombie cheese week (theA great finale with a surprising twist ending. Sadly, the season finale also serves as a series finale. I'll miss our Operation Bitemark gang-- Roberta, Murphy, Doc, 10K, Addy, Citizen Z, Kaya, and Nana (as well as new addition George). RIP Lucy. I wish we could have known you longer.

It was nice to have a kick ass woman of color in charge (for a change). Kelita Smith really brought it in each episode. She was tough but also loving and sympathetic when she needed to be.

Keith Allan as Murphy was also delightful. He was a loveable scoundrel and quite the snappy dresser (regardless of whether he was blue or red or white or anywhere in between).

Luckily, our journey doesnt have not end here. A prequel called "Black Summer" is expected to be released by NetFlix in 2019. That's something to look forward to for sure.

Really liked previous seasons, but i found the last one, to be just as crappy, as walking dead.seies.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I really enjoyed this show from the beginning and was really looking forward to this new and final season however, I was incredibly disappointed in what I found. The show is great because it never takes itself serious and when it does it’s in a way that we don’t have to cringe through. However with this new season came nothing but political undertones and PC culture. The worst example is the new main character that they introduce who is a “strong and clever” woman and it took all of my previous love for the show to cringe my was though her acting to get to the reliable and fun characters in the show such as Doc and Murphy. This show WAS a breath of fresh air from entertainment that took itself too serious and the political correctness that comes along with that but the direction they took the final season was just another casualty to the agenda pushing culture we live in today.
