    One thing that became clear after the first two episodes of this new season is that the writers were going to start dragging things out before tackling the narrative complexities they developed in the first season.

    For that reason Yellowjackets lost a lot of steam in its second season and its finale was very weak compared to the first.     Too much preamble to address the violence and darkness they explored in the first 10 episodes.

    They're going straight down the Lost path. And we all know how that ended.

    A stellar star to a really incredible series. I'm hoping by the end this 8 feels more like a 9, but I can tell the series has the potential. It's all about Lynskey!

    jumped the shark far too early on season 1, and now it's gone full of supernatural nonsense, dei ex machinae and/or clichés.

    Fantastic beginning, maybe the best episode final scene of the entire show.

    In the first six episodes of its second season, Yellowjackets makes missteps with its present-day storytelling that dilutes the potency of its adult ensemble. Now the past storyline laps it by a lot.
