I really liked it. Pilots are often not great - this one was better than most. I'm excited to see where it goes. As someone who is passionate about privacy and how we're just kind of giving it away to apps and tech companies, I think it's cool that the show is exploring these things - a lot of reviewers seem to be dissing it for not taking these issues seriously or "mocking" them, but II really liked it. I think the show is trying to be thoughtful about them while also checking the boxes it needs to check to stay on the air. Piven's really good, love Richard T. Jones, and have loved Natalia Tena since About A Boy. Worth a look. Expand

The writers cannot let the daughter’s murder get solved too quickly or they’d be lacking any motivation for the app and the show to continue. So, we’re stuck with the main character’s pain and anger throughout the run of the show - and the negative emotion will become tiresome to the audience quite quickly. Another story that might have made a good two hour TV movie, but not a continuing season drama. Will only work if they solve the daughter’s murder fast, then they transition to become partners of the police force. They either need to get crowd source funding going or get a rich benefactor on board because the financial troubles subplot is not working. Basically irritating and can be wiped away as soon as the writers want it solved.

Addendum- So the partnership with the police thing is happening (predictable) and now the evil corporate types now want to steal the system based on a few hundred lines of code. Another irritating subplot that needs to go away quickly.

CBS has not extended their order for more episodes so S1 will end at 13. This is also a signal that a S2 is highly unlikely. Also likely a signal that CBS is running away from any association with actors who have been mentioned in this year’s flood of sexual harassment accusations. If this is true, we could be losing a lot of shows based on the type of behavior I’ve seen as typical in acting companies. Guess they had to take responsibility for their actions at some point and the industry as a whole will be better for it. Sad to see this show go, as it had some potential as far as I was concerned. Wrong decision, CBS. This show could have been something.

Obviously the 13 episode season did not give enough time for the writers to wrap up the show properly. Since this show is not likely coming back, would like to see a special 2 hour episode to tie everything up - one can dream, right? Way to leave this show’s fans hanging,CBS! It would have been better to recast the lead or write him out rather than dump a show that had potential.

Wisdom had potential. It wasn't as kitchy as APB, which was lots of funs, but the storylines were solid UNTIL THE INJECTED LEFT-WING POLITICS. WONT WATCH IT ANYMORE. This show is bad. Undeniably bad. Characters are shallow. Writing is cheesy. Technology in the show makes bloop bloop noises like stupid 1980's special effects. All women are portrayed as powerful, resourceful and intellectual. The Young Turks would love it. It feels like they built their political agenda, created a politically correct cast, and then just kinda slipped the plot and writing in where to could fit them around the first two. It fails as a drama, but to be fair, I'd give it a 6/10 as a comedy. Expand

Based on the concept of a digital version of America's Most Wanted, Wisdom of the Crowd splits the mad brilliance of Steve Jobs, the character dramas of NCIS, and... to be honest, a formula crime of the week.

I won't say you'll like it; but DVR it and judge it for yourself. It's worth that much.

I thought Jeremy Piven carried this show. I enjoyed the pilot. Will be interesting to see the next few episodes to see if it becomes a formulaic crime of the week to be solved or if there is something more.

Entertaining and thought provoking. Piven is surprisingly emotional and engaging in this role - I am used to him doing his Ari Gold schtick, which is always fun, but this is a different side of him (I never watched "Mr. Selfridge") and it works. I'd say he's headed towards becoming unhinged, based on what I saw in the pilot. There are apps like this in real life, and police have been turning to "the crowd" for help since the days of wanted posters, so it's not like there's anything that ground-breaking here, but to its credit the show seems concerned with both the dark as well as the potentially positive side of this (it is a CBS procedural after all, so not surprisingly a bad guy is caught in the episode). I will definitely keep watching to see where it goes. Expand

It's definitely a different kind of procedural, which I like, and it's got multiple storylines, which I really like - and which is rare for CBS. And Richard T Jones is stellar. As for the crowdsourcing, I can already tell they're setting up the series now for some conflict with the app and the user base (at least I think they are). I finally had to call it a day on this show. The left driven agenda is just getting to much. Hearing James Damores email at google being described as assine showing the writers biase has seen me pull the plug. The writers are pushing their left wing agenda as if it's given facts. No balance just PC clap trap. Gooodbye

This show is like APB with the app and the drones and all the other tech, except its just the app. Despite that its actually better somehow. I don't get it, people rate slow moving, silly and boring shows 9+ but something exciting and entertaining as Wisdom of the Crowd has a low score? I don't get it.

When it gets canceled, I guarantee you'll see scores of viewers up in arms asking why such a great show got canceled; like they always do. This show is a 7.5 at bare minimum, rate it as such and stop being fanboys.

Concept just plausible enough to be intriguing. So far extremely well done, excellent plotlines. Casting in general is spot on, but the actress playing Mia's mother, (the ex-wife) just doesn't work - other viewers I've talked to have the same reaction. I lOVE Monica Potter and was a huge fan of PARENTHOOD, so I knew I would check this out. Now obviously, this is different - and it's even different than other CBS procedurals. This one held my interest. I liked Tanner's personal mission - to find his daughter's killer - and I thought it was handled really nicely. There were a lot of bad reviews for this show and I don't get why. It was exciting and totally in the realm of possibility considering how everything is social media and app based these days. More so than just a crime drama I think it also explore human nature in how our lives and our phones are practically one in the same.

I found the show exciting and I can see how it can keep getting better. Oh yeah, Natalia Tena from Game of Thrones and Harry Potter is in it so that's a plus.

Some of the professional reviewers seem all mad because of how the app destroys our privacy our right to be innocent. Hello?! With social media and run amok media hasn't that already happened. Art is imitating life. It might piss you off but don't blame the show for showing the truth.

Wow. A network show offers a new and contemporary take on the traditional crime series. New ideas and modern aspects applied to this format offer an enjoyable show that benefits from a strong cast. Looking forward to future episodes.

I don't remember the last time I watched a show with so much distaste for people who disagree with it, though I suspect there are people who feel this way about more clearly liberal shows. To them, I apologize. I'd argue that Wisdom of the Crowd isn't ideologically left or right, but rather just building a bad premise badly or, rather, treating a nightmare like a dream.
