Watched all 8 episodes in 2 days. Found myself watching the majority in one sitting. The pacing is fantastic and I found myself wanting to spend time with the characters the whole way through. The ensemble cast is enough to derive enjoyment from David Wain's cult classic revived, "Jane" by Jefferson Starship at the beginning of each episode is simply a bonus. It's goofy, it's majorly off-beat, and this crazy concoction feels more put together and better written than it ever has. The "shoddiness" other reviews complain about are exactly why I loved it. It's obviously cobbled together with aging actors and references no one surely remembers and that's all part of the charm. You gotta watch the movie. Ya gotta see the prequel series. If you're a fan of Wet Hot, it's all here. If you're not already aboard the train, it's easy to admit you'll probably be not only disappointed, but bewildered as to why its so beloved. This fan was majorly entertained. Seeing everyone back at camp is mostly enough though. Just gotta weigh what the series means to you. Expand

Isn't this show supposed to be funny? The style of humor from the original movie has almost disappeared. I don't know what this is, but it's not very good. Pretty disappointed.

Unacceptable. They are all too old, and in some cases too fat and ugly, to make this work. Half the time is taken up going back to explain the past. The tensions, the fun, the sex are all missing. This was a YOUTH show. What jokes there are take ten minutes to articulate.
There is simply no excuse for watching this. Too much much better stuff.
And this is the sort of thing i love.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Overall, really enjoyed Ten Years Later. There were a lot of laughs and I felt that every character was used in some meaningful way that paid homage to the original movie and First Day of Camp. The ending of the plot was pretty weak, but still funny. I found myself laughing throughout. The only thing I thought was out of place was Coop's fiance. He and Katie could have a had a much better story arc. If you enjoyed Wet Hot American Summer and First Day of Camp you'll enjoy this. If you didn't - it's probably a good one to pass on. Expand

Ten Years Later and these characters keep being just the same and there is something to learn from this: one mediocre film can be helped by the masterful ways of television.

Definitely worth the watch if you're a fan of the original film and the other Netflix series. The humor for these films will always breach a certain audience, and although I wasn't laughing hysterically I found myself grinning at the bizarre moments, of which there are many. I think the ending could have been stronger, I feel like they ended some character's involvements too soon.Definitely worth the watch if you're a fan of the original film and the other Netflix series. Gone are dumb adolescent antics; replacing them are jokes about careerism, the fear of settling down, and the perils of being young parents. It’s as staid as it sounds, and the show isn’t helped by the fact that many jokes referencing the movie have only grown more stale.

While the cast is solid enough that it can sell almost anything, taking a third trip to Camp Firewood makes for a reunion that would’ve been best left to our imaginations.

10 Years Later doesn’t feel crowded, nor does it feel overly conditioned by what came before. Its devil-may-care attitude is aptly encompassed by these jokes and these actors.
