Utter nonsense. I stayed with this crap show because season one was promising and I'd hope it would wrap itself up, answer our questions, basically end it short and sweet. But no... One of the worst shows I've ever watched. Expand

This show always feel that the story is made up as they go along, it is disappointing mostly because of the wide gaps they leave everywhere. it is so bad, silly and full of bad storytelling that it is too obvious for me to mention it. I am glad this is the last season.

If you are bored this holiday season, you could watch this series on Amazon as I did and bore yourself even more. The main problem with the show is it's not that it has unbelievable moments like all shows do... it's that the entire show seems to be one unbelievable plot. Some shows you try and figure out if it's the writing or the acting that's bad; in this case both are equally guilty. If you are bored this holiday season, you could watch this series on Amazon as I did and bore yourself even more. Some shows you try and figure out if it's the writing or the acting that's bad; in this case both are equally guilty. The 'action' scenes mainly consist of Barbie beating everyone, bad guys leering in constantly to monologue then get guns, knives and keys kicked out of their hands.. at one point in Season 3, even Noree yeah..her... learns Navy Seal tactics and with some help from Joe totally overwhelm a full grown adult man. This is one of the few shows where you hate yourself for watching after it's over because you realize you've been rooting for the good guys to die at every opportunity because of their stupidity, but want the bad guys win so the show would be over.
Basically, it's a hate-watch show ready to go.
I know art is subjective but I can't believe 'professional' critics wrote glowing reviews about this series. I didn't even realize it was CBS until it was over, it was so bad I thought it was one of SyFy channel's castoffs.
I hate for my first review on this site to be bad but the good news is if you have Amazon Prime, it's free so that's something. I probably should have read the King story and left it at that because the premise sounded awesome.

I have to wonder if these reviews from critics I'm reading are for the same show I have watched. Given I have not read the book, but the show is pretty terrible. The acting and plot points are poor at best. Season 1 kicked off well, but sadly dwindled. The second was worse, and the third season conquers all as the poorest show on TV. I suppose to fill time when nothing is on when its couch time. Expand

Wow, just wow. Season 3 has become the most irritating watch of a tv series for me....and I watch The Strain!! Literally, the characters are now all bipolar, switching from this to that JUST to make the story create the drama and continue on. I'm sorry, I like Stephen King and his writing but what they've done on this tv show is just crap. I would have rated this a 1 but out of respect toWow, just wow. Started well and finished awfully stupid. The worse tv serie I saw since years.
I understand why King left the serie in the middle.
The 3rd season was full of of romance everywhere where it was supposed to be a sci-fi serie !

Season 1 started of intriguing then became sillier and sillier. Season two started of intriguing and became sillier and sillier. Season 3 cuts out the middle man and starts with a ridiculous waste of space hour and a half special, which is more special needs than especially worth watching.
I hope they cancel very soon and put the budget to better use, like a show where walls are painted

I hope they cancel very soon and put the budget to better use, like a show where walls are painted before our eyes and we get to watch them dry. perhaps the painting could be carried out by female members of the cast of Dome in pregnancy suits, they could call it Big Mother !

Season 3 has stolen a few plot twists from a couple of famous sci-fi movies such as 'Matrix'. But still it's pretty good and exciting to watch. It's exactly the case when an adaptaion of a book is actually better than its source.

Amazing Show and incredible effects, so smart and quickly, you can´t stop watching. Marg Helgenberger was great and all the cast too, I miss so many characters, but there are so many new things for understand that you got to pay attention! I loved it!

The premiere was solid. So hopefully, the rest of the season will be solid. I think it will be better than season 2, though. Hopefully this one will have more original ideas.

The rest of the show was already pretty bad and aimless since it didn't followed at all the book, but at least it was half decent as story goes.

That season isn't even that. I was just awful in pretty much all way conceivable.

While retaining the novel’s general tone, characters and plot points have been altered and in some cases invented that have enabled the TV Dome to become its own creation. And that creation is cool, clever escapism that works well in the hot summer months.
