I love the first half of season 2 and the last few episodes as well. Unfortunately there are some very out of place plot lines, forgettable character introductions, and poorly constructed character developments. I quite enjoy the series as a whole, but it could be a little bit tighter and cleaner in its second season. Still, Twin Peaks is one of the most unique television series of all time, and as a whole the series would get a 9/10. It is certainly worth watching, particularly if you can suspend your disbelief and connect with the early nineties. Expand

This second season of Twin Peaks isn't nearly as satisfying as its predecessor. The first nine episodes returns audiences to that familiar backdrop of season one. From the tenth episode until the last three, the show can't seem to decide what it wants to do with itself, ultimately morphing into a sense of alienation and shallow mediocrity. The last episode of the season, and the entire series, is an unforgettable conclusion to something poetic and grand. The final moments of Beyond Life and Death will frustrate viewers, but they'll also experience a raw-nerve sensation of satisfaction. Expand

One of the best pilots/seasons I've seen in a long time, just a great TV show. It's too bad ABC ruined the second half of the second season. The show nearly rebounds near the end of the second season, but it just doesn't live up to the first season and a half. What could have been the best TV show ever, instead settles as one of those "what could have been" types of shows.

Season 2 of Twin Peaks is a clear example of why not every season should be 22 episodes long. Self-indulgent, meandering, confusing, pretentious, overlong...

With the identity of Laura Palmers killer identified fairly early in this second season, Twin Peaks did begin to lose some of its magic and a stretch of episodes in the middle of this season drag on rather aimlessly. Even with mystery about Laura Palmer's murder solved so agressively and almost triple of episodes more than 1st season, 2nd one still doesn't look as a coulpe of padding out because it shows viewer that series has much more mysterys beyond only one murder, which makes show render and, once its essence isn't stucked into no character, story or nothing of genre, Twin Peaks has its own TVEven with mystery about Laura Palmer's murder solved so agressively and almost triple of episodes more than 1st season, 2nd one still doesn't look as a coulpe of padding out because it shows viewer that series has much more mysterys beyond only one murder, which makes show render and, once its essence isn't stucked into no character, story or nothing of genre, Twin Peaks has its own TV show standard. Ultimately, season two isn't nearly as satisfying as its predecessor. If you're a first-time viewer, and you hit the post-nine slump, ride it out to the end and I promise, you'll be rewarded. Продолжение первого сезона все в том же духе, но есть отличе что авторы решили превратить сериал из подобие детектива в подобие интересного сериала с претензиям на авторство и артхаус.

It felt more interesting to me than the first season because the story loosened up a lot and the investigation was enhanced by a lot of supernatural elements. I'm still not invested in the soap opera themes, but most of the Black Lodge stuff is excellent. And that final episode definitely dropped my jaw. It had me laughing, surprised and scared. So so much to love about this season, but also a lot to hate. It makes me wonder what it could have been if it wasn't cancelled. I'm glad it did end here though, because if it didn't, we likely never would have got The Return.

Хоть это и второй сезон, но отделить по смыслу от первого его не выйдет. Хоть и провисает в середине сериал, но последние эпизоды компенсируют все сполна, уже за них можно ставить десятку

Who killed Laura Palmer? Many viewers, tired of the hype, are saying, Who cares? I say it too, but as praise. Plot is irrelevant; moments are everything. Lynch and Frost have mastered a way to make a weekly series endlessly interesting.
