The strengths of the show and the main cast, however, are undermined by a thoroughly irritating supporting cast and plot and logic holes you could drive a cavalcade of trucks through. That doesn't mean that the show that the show can't be enjoyable, but rather that your suspension of disbelief button must be available to push repeatedly and your tolerance for petty stupidities needs to be high. A good premise but flaws in the execution bring it down to a mediocre show and a time-passer overall. Expand

I didn't go into this series expecting to like it. Hell, it had been popping up on Netflix again and again and eventually, I happened to catch half an episode when my better half started watching it... and somehow, I got hooked.

It has a concept that is simple enough by modern sci-fi (time travelers try to fix the future) and series standards (mostly self-contained episodes that contribute details to an expanding overarching plot - which, as the series progresses, combines more and more episodes into mini-arcs). However, it gives that sci-fi concept an interesting spin with all kinds of implications that are explored throughout the series and it mostly sticks to the rules it establishes for itself early on.

The characters are interesting and the conflicts mostly on the plausible side of the spectrum.

That may not sound like a resounding endorsement and I am indeed not sure if I would place this series among my Top 5 All-Time Favorites but it IS a solid series that is enjoyable to watch and it has an open ending that I DO count among my All-Time Favorites - satisfying open endings are hard and this series managed to pull that off, which is no mean feat.

The plot is used up to holes modern cinema. But here it is given originally, and, above all without any populism. About the future here nothing is said yes, speak about "Director" a little and do not explain at all as in the way travelers appear in a body of the modern person. But the history moves simply and is plain, and it selects series from the majority of S-Fi of series. Expand
