It's a decent spy TV show. There were a few plot armours but overall a good production.

Not a great series. Drastically changed the characters to fit the current Amazon agenda. Stories are boring. Don't waste your time.

Season 1 - Some very interesting concepts. It touches on nuances around terrorism, including from where it is born. It also portrays a US drone pilot riddled by the guilt of killing faraway unknown people. All around interesting. Season 2 - It was like a 1980 action series, where patriotic propaganda is more important then making sense. It no longer felt like a somewhat grounded spy show. The last episodes of that season are ridiculous. Season 3 - While portraying a caricature of an evil mafia-like Kremlin, it is a good spy show, and oddly grounded in international politics that turned out to be quite close to reality. It also just feels better directed and better written. The actors are also just all-around great. Expand

The best spy show still standing. When you just want to watch a simple adventure of a truly good person saving the good old USA, this is your show.

If you are a fan of spy and espionage thrillers then Jack Ryan Season 3 is for you!

This is by far the best season of the series and I am so looking forward to season 4! You might think in the initial episodes that this might be a Slow-Burn Show which picks up post Episode 4 but this show isn't a slow burn at all.

It's gripping from the initial episodes itself and it hooks you till the very end. This is a Spy-Thriller at it's best! These are 8 Episodes you would surely binge watch!

Performance wise, I think everyone has done a fab job. All the actors have given their utmost best and their conviction to character can be seen in every frame. Of course John is the top favourite for all but for me, it is James Cosmo (Luka Gocharov) who stands out. He is definitely an actor to watch out for!

In conclusion, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan Season 3 proves yet again that the main Hero and Star is the SCRIPT. This is truly one of the best shows of 2022.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Ok! first season was the bomb.. second season wasn't that bad. As a Venezuelan, I was laughing from all those Colombians faking and forcing the accents. Don't get me wrong, slang was on point xD, but the accent ("el cantao" as we say) was sooo hard to hear. Also, I hate how no movies or TV series dont know how depicts Caracas. Yes! we have "ranchos" (favelas) but its not the whole city and there is no way a "gringo" will be able to step in to those zones. Buildings are missing xD, Also Caracas is a valley so its suppose to have a mountain that loops around the city (google it). I love how Reyes sounds like Maduro xD, a very polite Maduro. Expand

I love this show. John Krasinski is brilliant. It is tense and the episodes feel like they’re over in no time. I hope they make 84 seasons of it.

Jack Ryan is totally awesome. Grade-A, prime rib, CIA suspense thriller, with just the right amount of light-hearted quips from Krasinski to stop the rats gnawing at your guts from nervousness at what will happen next.

Absolute meh show. Good enough for background noise but that’s about it. The acting is average, the storylines are vanilla and the script teeters on absurd.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Season 1 was very exciting and dealt with a sinister villain who was always 1 step ahead of the CIA. There was excitement, nudity and it was a chess match. You saw the human side of each character. This season, Jack ryan (a congressional staffer now) spends alot of time in Venezula tracking down a "suspicious cargo ship" that literally leads to nothing. For some reason, he travels to London where he's given a gun and sets up a sting operation and then the next day is back in Venezuela. His villain is the president of Venezuela, who while corrupt, it really not involved in anything terrorism related. This series still has plenty of action, but it's pointless. At the end of the day, his presence in Venezuela did not have any major impact on the final plot line. Expand

The first season of Jack Ryan had me riveted and in fact I did a marathon for two days straight as I was hooked to the suspenseful, historically valid, origin of the antagonist etc. The second season is a disconnected, mexican novelas which cannot be watched by English-speaking US citizens with any diversion from the screen because half to two thirds of the entire dialogue is in Spanish. What a catastrophic let down from the excellence and United States citizen oriented backdrop of the first season. Expand

Good performance from most of the actors and good storyline.

Season 4 What a fantastic end to this series - a strong finish. You can see the setup and segway to the movies that follow at a later chronology. I want to see more spinoffs with the lethal machine of Jack, Mike and Domingo. Michael PenaSeason 4 What a fantastic end to this series - a strong finish. You can see the setup and segway to the movies that follow at a later chronology. I want to see more spinoffs with the lethal machine of Jack, Mike and Domingo. Michael Pena plays an amazing role, a lethal killing machine seeking vengeance, but being who he is he can’t resist spitting out signature puns. The overall plot of convergence is a clear and present danger today, pun intended. The domestic internal threat is all too evident, especially in the higher levels of government. I just wish the plot and motivations of the antagonists were a little more fleshed out, especially the background of Zeyara Lemos. I felt for the tragic character of Chao Fah, a rare man of principle in a savage brutal criminal enterprise, trying so hard to do right by his family. Myanmar has largely been ignored in modern Western series and movies. I had to look up the real-world threat of the triads operating in the lawless military human rights-crushing dictatorship. Prime incubation grounds for global threats. Of course, circling back to our beloved off-the-play book Rogue Jack, John Krasinski delivers a final coup de grace to this inspirational character. A transversal thinker who isn’t afraid to imagine and operate outside the boxes of a bureaucratic agency. So glad to see Abby Cornish return, and so nice to see how the series wrapped up. Season 3

It’s pretty ironic that the Russian geopolitical ambitions outlined in this 3rd season have come to fruition in Ukraine, and are playing out in a most horrendous manner with lasting effects for generations. Nevertheless, it is always the same old motivations, insidious desires to resurrect failed empires and glory, bruised egos assuaged in the blinding flash of nuclear fire, in the shattering flames of war. Indeed as Michael Caine said, some men want to see the world burn. Will we ever be able to rid ourselves of the threat of megalomaniacs who do not understand the terrible price of war? The old guard undertook those horrors and carried the rotting conscience, thus they act as a check and balance against the stupidity of younger fools, but alas these are dying out too, and with it the firewalls. This is a return to form after an insipid 2nd season. Jack Ryan is best when the entire world is at stake, this is undiluted Tom Clancy. The city-hopping espionage, shady assassinations, diabolical alliances, the battle of wills to see who flinches first, who takes the bait and calls the bluff. This is perfect spy craft and drama. It was amazing to see Ryan back in action as a marine - people forget he is not just a desk jockey. The teeth-grinding tension of episode 6 rivals the best movies of the Jack Ryan saga, mirroring Sum of all Fears. The arc of Luka Goncharov played so well by James Cosmo is absolutely brilliant. A loyal soldier haunted by the horrible crimes of his past, driven to seek absolution and redemption. His cold precision and iron will make for the most terrifying of spymasters and patriots. His speech in the last moments of this amazing season is inspiring and memorable, at the same level as Luthen Rael’s soliloquy in Andor.
