The series is decent. It takes the audience into the world of ballet , the pressures and drama that come with this and also it makes for a good high drama. It is centered around the life of a black girl from a poor background who comes to an elite ballet school in Chicago to take the spot of another girl who was pushed from a rooftop. The plot develops the investigation of this crime and the the black girls new life at this elite school where she doesn't really fir in at the same time. It has some suspense, scandal, sex and social commentary as well. Its worth a look Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I loved it, couldn’t stop watching. The actors/actresses were amazing dancers and loved the characters they portrayed. I hope there will be a season 2! I want to know what happens to Bette and who was behind Ramon’s fall. Expand

Essentially, it suffers from trying to do too much. ... Halfway through the 10 episodes, I simply stopped caring about finding out who pushed Cassie over the edge. Unsurprisingly, the gleaming bright spot of Tiny Pretty Things is the dancing.

Tiny Pretty Things will make you never want to enroll your kids in a ballet class, given how emotionally scarring the art is portrayed to be here. Between that, the cliched characters and the clunky dialogue, you’re better off watching Bunheads over and over instead.

You can fast-forward through the dance bits or the narrative bits as taste dictates and probably improve your viewing experience. But I hope the sweat expended by the youngsters in uniformly excellent performances brings them all every kind of success.
