I loved season one but season 2 was one big giant heap of hot mess. There were NO likable characters in season 2 with the exception of Constable Denise. The story had so many plotholes that made it difficult to follow the story and the logic of a character's actions. This show has an awesome cast that was completely wasted on season 2.

You don't watch this show if you want likeable characters, it's not what this show is about. It's supposed to be about violence and how it shapes up people's characters and, ultimately their lives and I thought season 2 excelled at portraying just that.

While the writing can be uneven, I thought it was better and more focused in season 2. Acting was absolutely superb. Altogether, I

Watch it for its grittiness and rawness and if you want likeable characters go watch Bambi instead.

I wanted to love this show. I love Tim Roth. Sadly this show is a mess of incomplete story lines, plot holes, and characters you cannot care about no matter how hard you try. Season 1 started out promising but quickly went off the rails and Season 2 continues that trend.

Tin Star's problem at the end of the previous series was that you couldn't care less about the characters and its problem now is exactly the same. It is trying hard for a surreal Twin Peaks/ Fargo vibe and could be quite funny. ... Sometimes less is more. A riot, yes, but I don't have the energy for this.
