Jan 16, 2018It it wasn't for the Goddess that is Gillian Anderson i wouldn't even bother. It has been turned into low budget, poorly written trash.
-
Jan 25, 2018The 'Blade runner' style internal monologue in Ep 1 was kinda stupid. Eps. 2 & 3 were okay, but Ep 4 was unwatchable garbage. Just let the X-files die or get better writers.

Jan 4, 2018I was worried about season 11 after seeing season 10 but this season started out exactly like it should have. Smart, mysterious, action packed, great story to start and I don't want to write any spoilers. If you were ever a X-Files fan then get ready for season 11!

Mar 5, 2018What a relief to see the real X-Files back on our TV Screens. The show lost its mojo in the last few seasons, but it's stepped up, the plots are incredible. Shame we cannot watch it all at once like netflix! Gillian and David are superb and so is the writing.

Mar 8, 2018Nice, but nothing really special. If there were no David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, most probably it wouldn't be worth watching. Hope if they continue the show, the plot will be more interesting. Right now it's just acceptable.
A few episodes from the start of the 11th season are awful. Fortunately the next episodes are much better!
P.S. The 7th episode is pure brilliance. -
Jan 6, 2018The episode was ok up until the ending where they jumped the shark pretty much. It won't make any fans happy i think.
There was also too much politics .Dunno what Trump has to do with this. Can't get away from him. -

Mar 10, 2018Big fan but disappointed in season 11. In the limited run I wanted to see aliens and government conspiracy in a common story spanning all episodes. I don't want to see stand alone shows about nothing really.
-
Jun 6, 2018Please don't cancel this again. WE WANT MORE! and really go away with fake, bad critics if you really can just post **** please go watch something else like Brooklyn Nine-Nine if that is your thing.

Jan 22, 2021For the most part relatively entertaining but maybe it's time for Mulder & Scully to retire.

We've come to expect the stand-alone episodes to represent The X-Files at it's most excellent, and that's the case in the first half of this 10-episode season. [8-21 Jan 2018, p.13]

This new batch of episodes is considerably stronger. Even the ones that don’t really do much but spin their wheels do so with feeling, and when the show is great--as it is, yet again, in Darin Morgan’s episode--it’s downright sublime.
-
The first episode is dragged down by more conspiracy blather, interminable voiceover and way too many apocalyptic predictions of doom. And there are a few too many references to Donald Trump's presidency and friction with the FBI, elements that feel dated even as we watch. But Anderson and Duchovny remain one of the television's best-ever teams.
