The World's Best may not yet be the world's best in terms of being a talent-based competition, but it has all the ingredients that could very well prove to be a force if given the chance to live up to its name. The stunning sets, the concept and gathering experts from different entertainment genres from various countries across the continents is no mean feat. If I were to compare it to the first season of, say, America's Got Talent, then this new show certainly has the capacity to be the best. The judges just need to grow some teeth, James Corden needs to lighten up on the sometimes too obvious play-acting and probably a better build-up of tension as the Wall of the World votes. I am so looking forward for more! Expand

World's isn't perfect, but it's a perfectly serviceable entry into the reality-competition landscape.

Even when the acts are half as stunning as the show manically promises, there’s so much exhaustive (figurative) tap-dancing in between that keeps The World’s Best from truly taking off.
