'It's like LOST, but with girls' is really selling this short. It's more like Survivor, but without Tribal Council. ;-)
No, this is just an awesome show with great acting. The story is a bit on the nose for me, but still entertaining.
I really liked Shelby (Mia Healy) in this and found out this is her acting debut!

Great show tackling with todays problems in a deep and original way. Moving, funny and not cliche at all. Acting is superb. Go past first episode, you wont regret it. Dont listen to those saying its a new version of Lost or Lord Of the Flies it is 100% not that. The island is just the stage for us to meet these characters, their backstories and their deep issues. Cant wait for season 2!

I do not understand why this show is getting rated so high. I honestly couldn't get past the 2nd episode. The acting alone was enough to make it painful to watch. It feels like a soap opera for teens. Perhaps I need to be younger to appreciate it?

Wow. I caught wind that there might be something special here, and then I watched the trailer and thought it didn’t look like it was for me... but then I decided to just watch the first episode to confirm that it wasn’t gonna be for me... and then I watched all 10 episodes in one sitting.

Man, this struck a chord. And I’m no expert on good writing or acting, but I’m gonna go ahead and

Man, this struck a chord. And I’m no expert on good writing or acting, but I’m gonna go ahead and say that this was good writing and acting- it was to me anyway. It also scratched my Facts of Life itch that’s been itching for over 30 years. This was a Facts of Life x Lost mashup in all the best ways possible.

    So damn good. Can’t wait.

Of the many peeking over Damon Lindelof's shoulder to copy from Lost's bible, only one has shown the competence to come close to the masterwork of Lost's early seasons. It just took 16 years, and it's about teenage girls.

Come for the mysteries, stay for the raw emotional catharsis of watching these girls scream. The Wilds is a hell of a ride, and the only downside is that in these uncertain times of production, a second season isn't necessarily guaranteed. And that would be quite a shame, because not only does the final episode of this season leave us with plenty of questions to be answered, but by that point, we've gotten to know these girls so well, we genuinely care what happens to them next.

The Wilds is a show that could have been a kitschy disaster, or one that’s so grim that it turns viewers off. But the girls who have to fend for themselves on this remote island are so well-defined that we’re finding ourselves intrigued by how they’ll change during their time together.
