Weak, poorly acted and cheap looking claptrap, without any fidelity to a masterwork.

The writers must've had absolutely no enthusiasm or care for their work. Just trying to get a paycheck.

Definitely better than episode 1, but still leaves plenty to be desired. Just poorly written.

Shadow's Waiting is aptly named. We're introduced to new fears, consequences, and problems, and get our first little taste of the ensemble storytelling that made the Wheel of Time so famous. If you're looking closely for details, you can findShadow's Waiting is aptly named. We're introduced to new fears, consequences, and problems, and get our first little taste of the ensemble storytelling that made the Wheel of Time so famous. If you're looking closely for details, you can find them in luxurious abundance, from repeated motifs, audible cues, and more. Book fans should feel less rushed in this episode, although from an outsiders perspective the pacing doesn't change that much; it's still a show that has quiet moments that only accentuate the relentless and driving plot. The good story is still just starting, but you can feel it driving now. Expand

For me, a weaker episode of s1 (too much time spent traveling or sitting in silence when we could have used more dialogue between characters).

Bad pacing and incoherent story, most of the main cast has had their story changed.

One of the most epic and cinematic speeches in literary history reduced to an almost off-handed snippet. No Thom. A joke is made about Lan being quiet when so far he's been in the top 3-4 verbose characters. Pointless Lan characterOne of the most epic and cinematic speeches in literary history reduced to an almost off-handed snippet. No Thom. A joke is made about Lan being quiet when so far he's been in the top 3-4 verbose characters. Pointless Lan character assassination for the "benefit" of Moiraine. Woolheaded interpretation of Ba'alzamon's dream machinations. It only gets a 2 for the decent acting and the good Shadar Logoth visuals. Expand

This was a good episode that seemed to suffer from them moving too quickly. The opening with the guys in white robes was so chilling and effective.
