Finally! No more drawn out story lines. Give us the good stuff without boring us to death. First 3 episodes have been superb, and I think the writers are finally getting it. More of the same, please!

Best Season so far. Amazing character development and a deeper look into the emotions of the group as feelings begin to change regarding hope and survival. Yes the action a minute, no attention span, horrible comic book movie fans may disagree because face it, this series came from a comic book, but was made into a great character study with lots of new challenges to overcome. Truly outstanding. Paced well, with explosive memorable moments mixed well with slow burning character and story developments. Can't wait to see what happens in the rest of the season so far!

INCREDIBLE SEASON OPENING!!! I know that the season just started, but I must say that the writers really did listen to the fans this time (More action, more zombies, and more traveling). In my opinion, all seasons were good, but the second and third seasons had very little action and that is what made many fans upset. The fourth season was better and had a good cliff hanger. The Walking Dead Season 5 is the best season of The Walking Dead to date. This show has affected me emotionally better than any show I've ever seen. The actors are some of the best I've ever seen too, this show deserves multiple Emmys and season 5 alone backs me up. I cannot wait for the return of the show in February. I give this season so far a 10/10.

The episodes 1 and 2 are full of dramatic and strong moments. The new characters like Bob, Gabriel and the canibal villains, contributes to a new way of drama.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Season 5 is here. Which means more deaths, more walkers and more blood. This was one heck of a premier which was quite well balanced. It had action, blood, new walkers and emotions. I recommend to watch out for the "burning walkers". Well, I though the first half of the show will concentrate on the cannibalism line and Rick's survival instinct, but I was proved wrong as they escaped from the terminus in the first episode only. It is now evident that the storyline is different and the creators are up to something different. Will wait for the next episode....... Expand

The Walking Dead is a masterpiece. It's the best thing to have aired on television since Lost, which was somewhat disappointing towards the end. Everything about the show is amazing. This season's pilot was groundbreaking. Just watch it. It's better than Breaking Bad. End of review.

It doesn't get tiring and it steps up its game with action packed gore, thematic resonance and horror movie inpired violence that creates the best episode the show has ever made. It has the best pacing of all episodes, having wrapped up Terminus in a single episode, with sweet reunions and wonderful character defining moments for Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) and Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) in particular. It leaves questions unanswered - to be answered - in a fresh season which is assuredly tighter than its previous ones.
Following constant build-up to Terminus and a cliffhanger season 4 ending, there was no doubt it would deliver, but it still managed to surprise with its violence and gore. The show is maturing and hopefully AMC recognises this and allows them the F bombs it deserves. Gimple proves to be the best showrunner for the show, with a huge ensemble to carry 16 episodes and more fleshed out characters than ever before. Previous showrunner, Mazzara had sacrificed the development of certain characters in order to stir conflict between Rick and The Governor (David Morrissey) and struggled to handle new material to progress the show. This problem doesn't land with Gimple, who has a clear, steady arc for the 16 episodes. Last season was "How far are you willing to go to survive?" exemplified by Carol's actions last season. This season, we are aware it is "What do we become?". This season, with its 17 main chararacters will balance the hierarchy and define these people and so far, it's doing a wonderful job.

Easily the best zombie themed show on television. I'm a fan of the comic who loved when Darabont and Nicotero got ahold of the property. Although it deviates from the comic(IE Daryl was created for TV) it still retains the graphic novels it's based on look and feel. If you haven't read the comic, do so, and make sure to get "All Out War" parts one and two on shelves now.

I watched every episode over the space of 2 days and I got to say this is one of the best seasons of TV ive ever seen!! If I had watched it week by week with a mid season break I may have felt differently because of the slow pacing of some episodes. But on the whole Id still recommend this season to anyone. A great season of TV!!

Season 5 of AMC's "The Walking Dead" tells a story of trust, betrayal, and suspicion as we see our heroes persevere through some of the darkest moments in the show's history.

This is the best season of The Walking Dead. For some reason, The Walking Dead keeps getting better but people continue to hate it for very minuscule parts. People hate this show because it is popular? It’s stupid if you think about it. This show isn’t Breaking Bad levels of good, but if you take it for what it is, it’s amazing.

The season started off the strongest it has been in a long time with some of the bloodiest, darkest, and most action packed and tense episodes the show has seen. Part of that is due to how closely it stuck to it's comic book roots. The show is at it's best when it focuses on having it's own take on the source material.

However it didn't stay like that for long. We got a filler arc

However it didn't stay like that for long. We got a filler arc focusing on Beth being missing for a while. When that happened both the writing and the pacing took a hit. While weaker than it started off the season was still strong. I can't say the filler arc was great, but I was still invested in the characters and story.

This first half of season 5 did have it's flaws thanks to the Beth arc, but it ended on a shocking note. It also promises a great second half. One that will go back to following the comics. It did take a hit in quality thanks to the filler, so I had to update my review and lower my score a bit, but overall I still loved this season and can't wait for the second-half.

I'm a fan of the comics and the show, so I'm really happy to see how the writers are putting some of the madness from the comics on the plot of this season, because we really needed it!

One of the best Season openers for the series. It had everything: suspense, action, drama and dark comedy. Just the first 4 minutes of the episode, audiences are catapulted to an intense battle and foreshadows what is more to come.

Right off the bat, this new season strongly hints that the series will continue to ruminate on primal sensations of fear and survival, but that it will be more content to allow action, as opposed to a plethora of argumentative moral debates, to speak to such existential matters.

When death no longer holds the dread it once did, what's left is the fear of what life can become. And that is the boogeyman with which the characters must now wrestle.
