Mar 3, 2022As usual, the hook (the first episode) is suspensful, intriguing and well shot.... while the rest of the show devolved, as with the rest of internet TV these days in a litany of overstretched in nonsensical situations and character motivations, deus ex-machina, pulpy actions scenes etc,,,,And a very unsatisfying wrap-up.
Recommmendation: To be watched only in a state of advanced inebration. -
Mar 4, 2022The definition of mediocrity. An unoriginal premise with a build up that makes the series less intriguing as time goes on. The writing is filled with cliches and the crafts and cinematography were cheap for what one can only imagine must have been a rather expensive production.
The acting ensemble was great though and Jamie Dornan is very nice to look at so there's that I guess. -

Mar 3, 2022I loved it, the series mixes a little bit of action, a hint of mystery and also comedy. Jamie Dornan is excellent in his role!

As an Irish amnesiac eluding a cabal of killers in the Australian outback, Jamie Dornan is so good you’ll follow him anywhere, which is what gives this relentlessly funny, ferocious, thrill-a-minute series the staying power to haunt your dreams.

It’s only when the show makes its grand breakthrough in the final third that “The Tourist” gets a much needed influx of energy. Still, it’s another example of something in this show that feels like it should work in the abstract, but in practice simply feels like slapping on an extra layer without properly seeding that spirit throughout.

The Tourist hooked us in with its story, plus the performances by Dornan, Macdonald and Brune-Franklin.
