Summary:
Each episode of this British anthology series dramatizes the story of one of the families along a street in the North of England. Created by writer Jimmy McGovern, the ambitious series uses talented young writers to explore the dark underside of various ordinary families in the same community. Dramatic actors featured in the various episodes include Jim Broadbent, Jane Horrocks, Sue Johnston and Timothy Spall.
