There are not so many TV shows that I was proud to recommend to my relatives but "The Spy" is one of them. Sacha Baron Cohen is shockingly good in this picture this is the reason why I liked it a lot. The story is very important. a bit of propaganda and a bit of misleading information.. but this is a film, series, not a documentary. So I respect the choice here. About film, I should begin with the magnificent play of "Eli Cohen". Well acted! Really well! About film, I should begin with the magnificent play of "Eli Cohen". Well acted! Really well! I didn`t know the story of Eli Cohen, and didn`t read about the film, history, Syrian-Israel relationship during 60s. So, I didn`t research about the film and started to watch because I had time due to unexpected holiday by corona-virus. I had watched and till the second episodes I didn`t film that it was gonna into fantastic drama&thriller. Yeaah, and as well as cinematography, storytelling was done smoothly. at the end, I couldn`t pass the fact that every episodes of being 1 hour film was also really suitable for me to watch. You can't go wrong with this one and it is definitely a story that deserves to be heard.… Expand

I must say that Spy deserves a golden statue for whatever he did for his own people but as for a TV show I didn't liked the casting for the main role there are much better choices out there the other cast are ok and the only person that was a perfect for his roll was Suidani played by the genius Alexander Siddig I saw a lot of his work and I thing he has much more to offer best performing on the show
The show was fine and they have shown us how Eli the spy was so smart I don't know why at the end even after he was told to stop communicating he kept on doing so I guess that was the dumbest move in spies history !… Expand
