The strongest season since it's debut season and fine way to bow out.
The strength of this season lies in the performance of Bill Pullman as Harry, a deeply flawed man who struggles not only with the crime he is investigating but his own personal demons.

Still not as good as the 1st season. But a breath of fresh air after the 3rd season. Hoping they make a season 5 that's as compelling as season 1...

Add on a thin veneer of mysticism and you have a missing persons story that isn’t revolutionary, but one that throws off convention by just enough degrees to make it worth checking out. “The Sinner” was never just about the answers. Now, more than ever, the man asking the questions has become the show’s biggest draw.

Ultimately, Season 4 understands exactly what changes needed to be made to continue the intrigue. If the theatrics of Season 3 turned you away, Season 4 will bring the mystery lovers of the first seasons back.

“The Sinner” feels more like a familiar mystery series than it did at the best points in the first three years. ... If Kremelberg is meant to be this year's star, she's a cipher to start the season, and other Muldoons feel a bit undefined as well.
