    In the many people's opinion The Shield is the greatest TV show of all time and it is very hard to disagree with that. Far more than justIn the many people's opinion The Shield is the greatest TV show of all time and it is very hard to disagree with that. Far more than just another 'cop show' it was superb throughout its seven seasons and for me this is the best of the lot.

    Season five focuses heavily around an internal affairs investigation headed by John Cavanagh (played by the always excellent Forest Whitaker) into the questionable tactics employed by Vic Makey and his strike team. The writing, directing and acting are sublime throughout and the unpredictable twists and turns will shock anyone who has watched the show up to this point.

    One of the greatest season finales ever! This season is so tense its unreal, every single episode makes you want to watch one more just to seeOne of the greatest season finales ever! This season is so tense its unreal, every single episode makes you want to watch one more just to see what happens, Forest Whitaker in his role as crazy master detective is so good and plays off the rest of the cast really well.
