Aug 20, 2011A brilliant spin-off to Doctor Who. it's great for children and adults as the plots will keep them interested (just like Doctor Who). In one word: Excellent.

[Anonymous]Apr 16, 2008Great sci-fi fun with likable characters. For all ages - not just for kids!

KevinP.Apr 15, 2008The Sarah Jane Adventures gets off to a dubious start but gets better and better as it goes along. It's wonderful having Sarah Jane back, and her young assistants - and the challenges they face - are delightful. I'd take them any day ahead of the overgrown, oversexed adolescent "adults" of Torchwood.

Aug 10, 2013Just plain awful. I understand that it's a kids show, but this is just unforgivable. This show tarnishes the Doctor Who brand, thank god for Torchwood.

The show offers a satisfying dose of alien-flavored escapism, especially for younger fans of genre fare (Sarah Jane has a few hip and appealing teen companions).

The uneven Sarah Smith may be a lesser "Who," but it's smarter than most kids' fare. [11 Apr 2008, p.70]

Aided by her 13-year-old neighbor, Maria (Yasmin Paige), Sarah Jane faces down baddies every bit as big as those "Torchwood" takes on, but with (a lot) fewer sexual overtones. Could be just what The Doctor ordered.
