The Rook's (Starz, 8 eps, 50-min) inaugural season is a decent showing. It's a British production so you've got a bit of a cultural disconnect if you're a US viewer. As is apparently typical with British productions, the cast isn't a good looking lot, and there's a fair amount of old people sex so eww. The VFX budget is low so don't expect American standards of excitement. It sets up a sophomore season pretty nicely though so it's something I kind of look forward to, though it'll clearly be another year out, so don't feel in a rush to watch this, best to watch S01 just before S02 starts.
