Its amazing how bad the writing is in modern shows. This one is cringe inducing and feels like it was written in an 8th grade drama class.

For being one of the latest Netflix shows (it's obvious the lack of quality lately...), it's quite decent i'd say, solid 8 for me (Characters, plot, OST...), not amazing but not bad either.

I find this show confusing and it lacks the excitement of a spy tv show. I found it a bit disorganised and it needs more time to understand the terms used in the show.

At its best 8/10. This is Doug Limon again. This is his series Suits again, this time set in the CIA. At its best what The Recruit has is what made Suits original, reckless, creative plotting and character twists. What drags down this entry is too much padding. If it was edited down by two hours, it would be up there with Doug's best.
For those who don't know, I believe Doug's father

For those who don't know, I believe Doug's father worked for CIA. If you like the energetic parts of The Recruit, be sure to watch Doug and Tom Cruise in American Made (2017). Both offer an inside view of the CIA which I can't vouch for as accurate, but it sure is coherent, deep and engaging.

Story is pretty convoluted but it is reasonably watchable. Protagonist is kind of dumb but the players do kind of play well off each other. All in all I'd say "watch it because you may like it. If not, no harm done."

Comic elements are mixed here and there. The actors' performances were a little disappointing.

fraca demais, genérica, meia boca, roteiro fraco, atuação pior ainda, tudo muito previsível

"The Recruit" is far too amused with its wordiness in sharing the stuff that happens between cubicles at Langley, and it kills what little momentum the series gathers.

Stylish, smart and energetic, “The Recruit” is involving, but fairly plain-spoken: Unlike series that generate technical and political gibberish until one’s mind clouds over, what happens over the eight episodes remains easy to follow, despite its intricate narrative track.

Granted, good spies and reliable attorneys can be hard to find, especially when trying to wrap both vocations into one. But as The Recruit inadvertently reminds us, good TV series are too.
