Season 2 starts approx 1 month after the climax of season 1. As general set up: The series is about Jarod which has the mental capability to impersonate other peoples mindset to near perfection (=Pretender). This make him the ultimate problem solver. He got abducted by an organization as a child which used him for their (often shady) gains and he escaped as a young adult. The series is about him searching for his family and using his ability to help other people while the organization tries to get him back. The series is a bit like The A-Team. Jarod solves the problem of the week with his abilities and continues. The overarching story arcs are the search for his family, the hunt for him and the many shady secrets of the organization. Also Jarod is quite unfamiliar with many things he did not experience so he is a bit unworldly (Sweet's, toys, comics etc.). At the end of the season Jarod had manged to get a short contact with his family but they were ambushed by his pursuers and have to flee separate while the mysterious Mr. Rains is heavily wounded. This leads to drastic changes in the organization and new characters hunting Jarod in form of Mr. Lyle and the mysterious Brigitte. Season 2 is more of the same but makes some good additions. We get answers, new secrets, twists and developments. Because the last season has set up the characters, dynamics and story it works even better. In many shows this is the natural improvement as all actors know now how their characters work best. And directors how to use them and what stories work. This season is more intense and the overall arc gets more momentum. Overall I truly became a fan in this season while I liked the first too. It has the right amount of more of the same and an overall story arc that kept me invested.… Expand
