Did I give it 8 because there isnt anything else to watch? Maybe. Sure the 10 first mins made me feel like missed actuall pilot or something but as my brain slowy melted I started to understand I still like a good Tv-matiné adventure. This is original fantasy. they do something of their own here and build with their own stones. then they expand from that. the lore/setting is original it gives me the feeling of a random table top rpg adventure (like dungeons and dragons).… Expand

The Outpost is good fantasy series. It starts quite weak, with a simple story, cheap effects, a visibly short budget overall and to much focus on the physical features of Talon, the main character.

But all this changes in the mid of theThe Outpost is good fantasy series. It starts quite weak, with a simple story, cheap effects, a visibly short budget overall and to much focus on the physical features of Talon, the main character.

But all this changes in the mid of the second season. There are now many different characters with different motives and interesting clashes. The plot no longer relies on bad decisions, but on world building and character interaction. Talons actress has significantly improved and some others are great actors. The Budget now allows to show armies and fortresses. Magic and riches. Only most effects are still not great. But this is a sacrifice I am willing to make for a true fantasy series with a great plot. A genre rare nowadays and often mixed with teenage drama or mystery elements.… Expand

This was a great series. While the plot was predictable, the characters were well written and the acting ranged from above average to superb. Also, the setting was interesting.
