A vast improvement on its brief first season, "The Office" found its footing and emerged as a worthy counterpart to its British predecessor. The Jim and Pam story arc was unquestionably the highlight of the season, but Rainn Wilson was the real scene stealer.

Visible improvement of the show was key. Season 2 didn't only excel where season 1 failed, but it offered key storyline elements that help shape the office today. Season 2 is one of the best seasons.

Season two was a huge improvement over the first (duh) and deserved the awards. The Jim and Pam story was so sweet and charming, Michael Scott was finally toned down, and the humor decided to "go there" without "being there". The whole cast is a delight to watch, the lines are quotably laugh-out-loud, and it's nice that the awards followed it.

Now this is television comedy at its finest. The second season of "The Office" is a bit of a marvel, in that its two major elements that draw people in are so undeniably conflicting. On one hand you have the drone-ish atmosphere of the working man's office that yields some awkward silences that turn into big laughs. On the other hand, you've got a cute, tender little blossoming love story. Now this is television comedy at its finest. On one hand you have the drone-ish atmosphere of the working man's office that yields some awkward silences that turn into big laughs. On the other hand, you've got a cute, tender little blossoming love story. Surprisingly, those two things go together like peanut-butter and jelly. Steve Carell is also irresistible, and although there are one or two weaker links in the season, not one episode is a waste of time. And that's saying a lot. Expand

Another good season of The Office. It's just a good show to watch and I really enjoy watching it. I just can't get enough. Can't wait to watch the next season.

The Office is awesome. One of the greatest shows ever. It is always so hilarious. The cast is amazing and have such good chemistry. Steve Carell is crazy funny and makes a perfect Michael Scott.

Season 2, is in my opinion, the best season of the show. Many of the show's best episodes like "The Dundies" and "Casino Night" came from season 2. That's just two of them!

    My Rating: (9.8/10.0)

Season 2 was an absolute blast to watch. From start to finish, Michael Scott (Steve Carell) has you on the floor laughing. In my review of Season 1, I said that if the rest of the show follows through like the BBC version did, then it will turn to be one of the most legendary comedies to ever air on TV, and that is exactly what Season 2 did. Highly recommend seeing it.

Still very funny and much larger than the first season. Across these 22-episodes I grew to enjoy these characters more and more. There are quite a few slow moments throughout, and there are times when the humor doesn't quite connect, but overall there's a high level of quality here that few other sitcoms have managed to achieve. My overall score for this season is an 8.9/10=Great.

What a difference a year makes! The first season of The Office’s US remake did little to distance itself from the original UK version but, while it may still not live up to its inspiration, it really starts to carve out its own niche in this second season with original storylines and better character development. Another cracking season from the US crew, particularly Carell and Krasinski. Novak has his moments, too. The writing is not as strong as the first short season, but there are still plenty of laughs.

’The Office’ and its weird & relatable characters continues to impress -- but it's not always as entertaining as what it could be.

Team Michael is a nuanced pack of unique individuals. Different personalities never fails to bring new human sides to these characters -- we get fun inside to most of them. Still; more depth and not only humor or embarrassment to them would be a nice aspect

Still; more depth and not only humor or embarrassment to them would be a nice aspect to see. Romance & humor is a big part of this show, and it mostly never fails on that -- but more fun to the ”meh-story” and even more humor, is what it needs. It's a great improvement over S01!

"The Office: Season 2" is a significant improvement over the pilot season. The season is warmer and sweeter than every other (U.S. & U.K.) season that precedes it, and that helps make the tone lighter and the jokes funnier.

Brilliant Emmy Award winning show. A much different direction than the first season, and very successful. Laugh out loud funny meets wit in this hilarious comedy with excellent writing. The top notch cast not only succeeds at delivering their lines, but adding their own personality with hilarious improv.

Review of Season 2, Episode 3 - "Office Olympics"

We recently saw this episode of the show as a class. There's a couple things we liked and a couple things we didn't.

The setting was great. The office looks like a real one. It comes with average cubicles. The employees wear regular suits, but the boss wears a fancy one. The employees have different personalities as like any real work environment.

The dialog was suitable for the actors and funny. They deliver the American humor through the conversation. Also, it contains inside jokes and outside jokes (i.e. jokes that everybody can understand).

The acting of the main characters was great. They act like natural employees. They show real feeling and emotion, such as stress and enjoyment. They can make the audience feel the situations.

The cinematography was too weak. The movement is too wobbly. The camera zoom is too basic and not clear. The director wants to make the story real like a documentary, but the hand-held camera makes people dizzy.

The theme is also weak because it is illogical. In the episode, we didn't know what was the purpose, however, some sequences were logical.

Ultimately, this was a decent episode.

Season 2 is a nice improvement over the debut season, but it hasn't quite reached its full potential at this point.

Season 2 is where it really hits its stride. The characters start to take shape and become more independent from the British show.
