This is possibly the most cerebral and compelling show in existence at the present moment. Due to the twisting turning plotlines, it's difficult to tell anyone exactly what it's about without spoiling it, but I assure you the first 2 seasonsThis is possibly the most cerebral and compelling show in existence at the present moment. The OA was a surprise. The first season was certainly strange, maybe a little off-putting, it was also captivating. The story creates uncertainty and curiosity beautifully. This show changed me, both as a writer and a person. I will forever return to it, falling into its whimsical, freeing world again and again. Words can't so it justice; you'll just have to watch for yourself.

Most reviews here are fake. Open any profile and they only have 1 or 2 reviews. Both for seasons of this show. As for the show, it is a complete cringefest that doesn't go anywhere with it's story and has no ending.

This show gives Netflix's "Another Life" a run for the money in the Worst Show Ever category. As usual with turds, the series starts out with promise, and you can't help but feel there is something substantial in the plot. An episode or two in and sheer nonsensical lunacy of the writing becomes apparent. This series starts with intrigue but then shortly thereafter, the brakes come off and it begins to go downhill... slowly at first and then whoosh! The earth drops out and we're off the cliff and hurtling into the abyss. Stereotypical, boring, slow and getting more and more moronic by the episode. AVOID!!!… Expand

Perfectly paced and brilliantly executed mystery-thriller. As tightly constructed as a puzzle box and yet full of human emotion and soul. I found myself invested in the main characters very rapidly. Nothing else like it on television.

I can't believe I'm rating this series a 9. I almost never rate anything that high. But, there is something bizarre about this series that is beyond compelling. But, there is something bizarre about this series that is beyond compelling. There are so many things that just seem completely over the top and other things that could be viewed as inane - but, somehow it all seems to somehow be cogent.

I completely understand that there are plenty of individuals who will completely reject parts that just seem wacky.

Regardless, somehow I find the series compelling and can only suggest any potential viewers set aside their expectations and try to take The OA for what it is... because - in my opinion - it is definitely worth it.… Expand
