Aug 15, 2016The show is a poor substitute for Stephen Colbert. Larry is flat and whiny with no sense of comedic timing. His show is incredibly one dimensional, and that dimension in non-stop race baiting. He's basically an unfunny one trick pony.
-
Aug 3, 2016I use to watch the daily show because it was entertaining and they made honest jokes about the news, but now I don't care to watch anymore. It's not really funny and it is kinda racist. I feel like the change was to sway the presidential election. It's terrible people have to make crap like this to separate this country even more. It's made my family more racist and I hate it.
-
Jul 31, 2016Just change the name to "The Racist Show with Political hack Larry Wilmore". The saddest, most pathetic half hour on television. The "Round Table" discusses the most inane topics, and his guests are either c-list, or his racist friends. Did I mention the Show is racist?...
-
Jul 9, 2016just straight awful, not funny in the least, stupid topics, dddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd

May 10, 2016Larry Wilmore is a racist. It's been over a year and he cannot go an episode without a racist joke toward white people. All sponsors of this show supports racism.
-
May 3, 2016show sucks, he cant go 5 minutes without bringing up race and quite frankly im sick of it.............................................................
-
Apr 22, 2016I never thought somebody would make a news show more discriminatory than fox news. it uses its cast to insult anybody it slightly disagrees with and uses only a small perspective when showing its "news"

Mar 6, 2016The show is one dimensional and simply not funny. I am missing the days of Stewart/Colbert back to back. Trevor Noah and Larry Wilmore are not worth an hour of the night, especially with so many other actual good shows on at the same time.
-
Mar 3, 2016I thought that it was alright at first, not great but funny at times. However, I have noticed that the show really preaches an anti-white sentiment, only focusing on racial issues or connecting issues to race, making the show rather stale and repetitive. He speaks against racism, yet only focuses on black issues, which shows that only that group matters.

Feb 3, 2016This show trys way too damn hard and is possibly one of the worst most annoying shows i have ever watched. I hope this show gets cancelled.. Its **** terrible and and painful to watch as awkward larry wilmore talks and as his annoying panel trys to be funny.

Oct 29, 2015"Critics" give it a 6.9, the actual audience gives it a 2.8.
That should tell you something.
Not to mention, that apparently stereotypes are perfectly alright....as long as they're about the Southern U.S. or white people in general.
Very "progressive". -
Oct 20, 2015Not funny anymore. Just a bluntly aggressive stand towards any opinion not his own. Not funny or interesting but, on the bright side , it is a complete bore.
-
Oct 8, 2015The least funny comedy show I have ever seen. Content relies heavily on Larry Wilmore being black and a lot of the things said are just inexcusably stupid.

Oct 6, 2015I've watched the show several times...hoping hoping hoping it would improve. It's so racial now...I feel he sets the black/white relationship status back instead of forward. I hope the writers head the reviews I see here if they want the show to survive. As it is now, I'm done with it. Besides the race issue constantly in my face, the show is just boring. Sad.
-
Oct 1, 2015He seemed ok on The Daily Show but I guess that's all credited to the writers. The show just lacks the witty humor that The Daily Show had and I just couldn't get past a single episode. The keeping it 100 or weak tea bit is just so cringe and the stories that the show tries to cover just fall flat in presentation. Just a bad show all around.

Oct 1, 2015This show is awful in every single way, the host is terrible and unfunny, truly sad that this is what replaced the colbert report. He is also a terrible interviewer, watching the episode with him and bill nye was so cringe i could not continue, there is nothing smart or funny about this show at all.
-
Oct 1, 2015Can't stand the host or most of the guests. It's too radical left, and as a fan of both Jon Stewart's leftist lean and Stephen Colbert's satire of the right, this show is neither funny nor interesting.
They had Bill Nye on there and hardly let him talk, kept interrupting with terrible jokes and with a blatant disregard for the importance of finding water on mars, and science in general. -
Oct 1, 2015What an absolute mess of a show, Larry Wilmore was a weak addition to the Daily Show and a terrible replacement for Colbert, i honestly have no idea what they were thinking when they gave him this gig.
-
Sep 30, 2015The entire setup comes across as awkward. Larry Wilmore is at his best with race humor, but he goes overboard and often misses the mark, sometimes cringingly so. Plus, his non-race humor tends to be strained or flat. The panel is a mess and adds little to the show. I gave it time to find its feet, but it still hasn't.

Sep 15, 2015Larry Wilmore is a sad replacement to Colbert. He is nothing more than a half black man feeling sorry for himself and he blames every unfortunate event on a black person on racists. Garbage show full of self race-pitying.
-
Sep 10, 2015I can't believe what a generous score the critics reviews accumulated but this show completely missed the mark of what could have been a great opportunity for comedy and the black perspective on current events. It is not funny. It is childish. So disappointed.

Sep 8, 2015I have watched Wilmore since he took over the show however no more! If a white comedian said the things about blacks he says about whites, he'd be off in an instant. Ignoring the race issue, he just isn't funny and where does he come up with his guests, the local Panther headquarters?
-
Aug 24, 2015It is the same old stuff with this man pulling the race card out at every chance. He is not funny and he is frankly boring. Same old the black man is being taken down bull.. he needs to go away

Aug 18, 2015I really wanted to like the new show, but one sided rhetoric is unwatchable. Even when he has a guest I like and want to hear from he dominates the conversation with idiot drivel. He needs to go wash windows on a freeway exit ramp.

Aug 12, 2015The Nightly Show is just bad. His humor is relatively childish. He tries to make his show like a news show and unbiased when in reality he is an anti-police leftist. All of his stories are on the "victimization" of African-Americans. It is reverse racist like Keuy and Peele and the Daily Show, only not funny like those shows.

Aug 7, 2015I wanted to give the show a chance and got into it at first, but the racial topics quickly grew tiresome.
It would've worked for a few episodes, but EVERY NIGHT......ughhh.....it gets old. -

Aug 5, 2015Show would be great for MSNBC before or after al sharpTons poop show or BET. But on Comedy Central no thanks can't watch more then 30 seconds of this crap.
-
Aug 3, 2015Miss-Informed, Feminist Ideology, Spreads Myths , that have been time and time proved wrong. Thinks American Women are oppressed. It should be renamed the larry mangina show.
-
Jul 30, 2015It's like every bit of news involves racism in some way. He just plays the race card way too often and usually doesn't do any research on what he's reporting. 0/10 would not watch again.

Jul 28, 2015Alright I think we know.. You're black, You're Liberal and Every Issue you discuss has something to do with Race. Move on already. Definitely not funny either.
This show tries hard. -
Jul 27, 2015I created a meteoritic account just for this show. First of all this show is just absolutely horrible. It is just strictly race. Its not funny and it will more than likely be done after just one season. Please do not watch this show. You will be saving time out of your life. Broadcast this dumb show on BET not Comedy Central

Jul 3, 2015Larry Wilmore is a professional hatist spewing hard left propaganda talking points to a hand selected studio audience consisting of liberal sheep. His content is a re-hash of Huffington Post reader comments.
The socialists running Comedy Central are extremely consistent Alinsky dupes. -
Jun 25, 2015I made an account specifically just to voice my opinion on this show.
This show is soo boring. It gives that feeling you get when watching those commercials about children starving to death or abused animals. It is a downer, depressing, unfunny show. -
Jun 24, 2015Upsettingly unfunny. The jokes are forced and sound like they are written by disney sitcom writers. Whenever this show is on comedy central I feel a mixture of disappointment and annoyance

Jun 2, 2015He's borderline anti-white and anti-christian, at least that's how he comes off and it makes him seem like a douche bag. I'm not even christian but his attitude about topics he clearly doesn't have all facts in pisses me off.

May 28, 2015I tried watching, but just have to turn channel. Can't even begin to compare to Colbert ... and now with Jon Stewart leaving, I can't see watching this channel at night any more. I can't see Larry Wilmore show lasting.

Apr 29, 2015A TV Show which tries unsuccessfully to hide hatred behind comedy. Comedy is not an easy art-form, it requires intellect, skill, and the ability to laugh at ones own self. The writers, producers, and host of this show seem to have forgotten that, if that was their intention. It seems more a platform for wallowing in hatred and victimization.

Apr 22, 2015This show is terrible. Larry's lazy, half-hearted, sometimes almost-monotone delivery; his inability to say anything original or even moderately funny. Very awkward to watch. I really wanted to like the show, but I didn't laugh even once.

Apr 15, 2015I tried to watch this, but can't, it's to awful. The show is not nearly as funny as Colbert was. With Stewart now leaving, Comedy Central is in big trouble.
-
Apr 15, 2015I was really looking forward to this show when Colbert left... I thought it would be smart and funny and entertaining. Everybody said the same thing from the first episode its a "Real Time with Bill Mahr" Show except its half an hour and its Larry Wilmore... And I think comedy central is making the same mistake with the successor of Jon Stewart on The Daily show... Very sad days to come...
-
Apr 9, 2015Boring Boring Boring. Some are meant to lead...some to come on and do a 2 minute spot. Larry...this is not your first best destiny. Quit before Comedy Central cancels you so you save some dignity.

Mar 26, 2015I watched one of his shows and was baffled. I'm not sure if people are capable of realizing it because he is black himself but this is another racist show on comedy central. Racist like Key and Peel but not funny like Key and Peel. Zero.
-
Mar 21, 2015I wanted to like this show and keep on tuning in in hopes it turns around, but the show is simply not funny and does not work on multiple levels. The show has fundamental issues (Larry makes a poor host for one) and I dont see it lasting too long.

Mar 5, 2015I really wanted to like this show but honestly it is just really bad. I haven't laughed at all and I have watched about 10 episodes. It really makes me miss colbert
-
Mar 5, 2015It's unfunny. I love every show on comedy central and this is by far the biggest drag of a show on CC. Wilmore is just awkward and unemotional. Hopefully he gets settled in and becomes more comfortable.
-
Mar 4, 2015This is not a very objective observation but opinions are not objective: I just don't like the guy. There's something arrogant, snarky and sort of lazy about him. Plus to me, he plays the race card a little much, it gets old quick. as if he thinks it makes him hip or cool. They should have given the show to Wyatt Cenac, Jason Jones, Samantha Bee, Assiv Manvi, or anyone else but this guy!
-
Feb 27, 2015This show is on a network called Comedy Central and it just isn't funny - you do the math. My hope is Comedy Central puts Larry out of our collective misery sooner as opposed to later and they get something better ASAP

Like Stewart, Wilmore is good at using jokes to cut down overblown public figures, and he isn’t afraid to be self-deprecating. His opening monologue is typically the best part of the show.... The shakiest part of the show during its first week has been the middle panel-discussion segment, which features a mix of comedians and political commentators talking about the episode’s topic.
-
It's still a little clunky, particularly in terms of editing, and it feels as if all involved are figuring out the right ratio of jokes to information. Yet there's a lot to recommend here.
-
Wilmore had a few bugs in his performance on opening night: He was a little too giggly, and a few times he spokesofast it turned his lines into what-did-he-say? mush. That said, his clear excitement for this opportunity was endearing.
