    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have loved this show since the beginning but you can tell that this is the last season. It is all about the people that Jane thinks is Red John and he has narrowed down the list to the lucky 7. Plus its like the wanted to tie up the loose ends to allow
    Rigsby and Grace Van Pelt to marry.
    The shift was so abrupt when all the shows prior to this year. Was how Jane figured out how to understand a crime scene and how he figured out with the help of the members of the team to find the guilty person.    … Expand

    The series deserved 7 until the fifth season, the sixth season mid-end finale with red john is disappointing; then tries to reinvent itself but the show has lost strenght and charisma ; cute only the final but seems a ploy to stretch a series without ideas.

    Loved how red john was relieved. New season is good with moving forward 2 years. Like the Patrick Jame's wish list to join the FBI as per his terms. FBI Finally had to agree the Patrick Jame's terms

    The series deserved 8 until Red John was revealed, which was done really badly. I stopped watching after, my girlfriend continued and from what I've seen, it just became another CSI.

    Absolutely horrible, compared to the quality of previous 5 seasons. After quite suspenseful episode 6 it all goes down the drain.
    Main Red John plot gets cut abruptly in uninspired way, it just had sooo much potential with 5 season build-up.
    While watching, i had the feeling that writers wanted to close off that chapter as fast as possible (all in all maybe a good idea, but not executed    Absolutely horrible, compared to the quality of previous 5 seasons. After quite suspenseful episode 6 it all goes down the drain.

    Next , you have boring (and unnecessary) conflict between Jane and his new boss, conflict/romance with co-worker, and some small thrills. No suspense at all, just cheesy and forced dialogue.

    You even get some nice action sequences/camera takes, with army of black FBI SUVs parking synchronously so it would look cool, F*** Yeah!    … Expand

    Even though this show has the classic lady cop with male sidekick, the Mentalist really pulls it off thanks to Patrick. All the witty dialog and surprises really make the show worth watching!
