This is just the stupidest thing I have ever seen, omg. This tells me that the masses will watch whatever is thrown at them. What's so funny about it is that the judges seem to be so into it and of course they would be because they're getting paid monster salaries. Yeah, this is just terrible television and the money could have been better spent elsewhere.

Oh my god this show is so boring. It takes them so long to finally reveal who's under the masks and it sucks. Also there's way too many hosts and they suck. Robin Thicke seems like just a terrible guy and Jenny mccarthy is the worst. Kim Jeong and Joel Mchale are kind of funny. I don't know maybe it will get better, kind of a waste of an hour if you ask me. Expand

What's that line in Gilliam's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas? "This is what the world would be doing on a Saturday night if the Nazis had won the war." Yeah, that's it. Listening to hackey covers by d-list celebrities. WTF is that thing on Nick Cannon's head? It's actually disturbing to see so many extras faking enthusiasm. It's actually disturbing to see so many extras faking enthusiasm. Who do you have to piss off to get put in that audience? This just made me feel dirty. I mean, you could say, "at least it's not porn," but I still feel like I need a bath after watching this. Expand

It's a goofy show but the performers do a pretty good job, the costumes all look sweet and everyone seems to be having a good time. Judges are so so but what can you really expect.

It's kind of nice to have a show that isn't jaded or filled with malice. You have fun costumes and people who get to perform and live out new dreams. I think all of these people are people who finally get to do something that was never really available to them (like that football player) or people who have been relegated to the Hollywood heap of former greats and want one more shot atIt's kind of nice to have a show that isn't jaded or filled with malice. If you Masked Singer gets rid of Ken Jeong (he over exaggerates his silliness) you might just have a running chance. The other judges seem sincere to a point but that Jeong fellow is the pits.

How did they vote off the lion over the bee. The bee is trash. Great show, dumb voting system.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This show is extremely entertaining. I was able to correctly guess that the Lion was Rumer Willis, the Alien was Latoya Jackson, the Raven was Ricki Lake, the Rabbit was Joey Fatone, and the Bee was Gladys Knight but the other contestants I had no idea who they were until they were unmasked. I was disappoted with who won I thought that Gladys Knight as the bee should have won. After this whole season this show has become one of my top 10 favorite new shows of 2019 and it was a A+ first season but disappointing with who won. Expand

The show isn't made to win a lot of awards but you can be guaranteed to be entertained. The body horror is agreeable. The singing is real. Some of it is excellent (an unspecified number of competitors are professionally trained); mostly, it is fine. The creatures compete against each other in pairs. ... Cultivating the cutesy creepiness dulls any sense of unease.

The whole enterprise is pure dumb diversion, to be honest. Viewed from another perspective, however, The Masked Singer also is a moving editorial cartoon who commentary indicts human tendency to value poise and appearance, the foundation blocks of fame, over actual talent and true ability.

A prohibitive favorite for worst new TV show of the year didn’t take long to assume that position.
