Season 1 Review: If you like that kind of Elmore-Leonard-wannabe dialogue, you'll probably like McBride a lot. [31 Jan 1995]

Season 1 Review: With no co-stars playing sidekicks, the pressure will be on Fahey to carry "The Marshal" alone. In the two preview episodes ABC provided, the low-key actor establishes an appealing balance of toughness and compassion. [31 Jan 1995]

Season 1 Review: Looks like a fun ride, a crime drama with more laughs than gun battles. [31 Jan 1995]

Season 1 Review: The Marshal is retro action stuff, every week a different chase and capture, but the ungroomed MacBride has enough character - and so does the show - to distinguish it from TV's legion of mediocrities from Matlock to The Commish. [31 Jan 1995]

Season 1 Review: Fahey too often seems cocky and callow. He's so sure of himself, and so superior to everyone else, you could find yourself identifying with the criminal. Luckily, Fahey's performance in the closing moments shows promise for a more restrained future. Let's hope the producers noticed the improvement. [31 Jan 1995]

Season 1 Review: Fahey could turn into an appealing lead if given more opportunity to loosen up. [1 Feb 1995]
