Summary:
Created by Famous Flying Films, Ltd., The Koala Brothers is half-hour puppet animation (similar to clay animation) series that takes place in the Australian outback. The two main stars of the show are cuddly koala brothers, Frank and Buster. Surrounded by a colorful cast of friends, they're never far from a friend in need. Of course, they've got a cool little two-seater airplane to whisk them to anyplace where their help's needed.
A lot of valuable moral and skills are taught in all of the episodes, such as: responsibility, problem-solving, teamwork, helping, and caring, to name a few.
Even though "The Koala Brothers" is aimed at pre-schoolers, adults would enjoy its simplicity and humor. Additionally, the animation is wonderfully done and is well worth watching!
"We're here to help!" --Frank and Buster
CAST
Frank, koala. The leader and thinker of the two brothers. He's also the pilot.
Buster, koala. The other brother. He's all heart. For those of you who confuse the brothers, Buster is the one with a tuft on his head and wears a loose turtleneck sweater.
Ned, wombat. A timid one-man ground crew. He helps out with the airplane and lives in a cozy and clean trailer by the koalas' house.
Mitzi, possum. Feisty, independent and outspoken, she lives in an attached building by the brothers' homestead. She thinks she's a "Miss-Know-It-All".
Alice, platypus. Somewhat quirky but friendly, she putters around on her little scooter delivering messages. She tends to be absent-minded.
George, tortoise. The postman. As old and slow as he may be, he usually does get all the mail and packages delivered!
Sammy, echidna. Owner of the town's general store. He's quite laid back and very helpful. He drives a little three-wheeled truck to get around.
Penny, penguin. She is an adventurer/backpacker from South Pole. She speaks (squeaks, rather!) in her own language and uses gestures to communicate with her newfound friends.
Archie, crocodile. A sharply dressed British, he's very enthusiastic and outgoing. A sportscroc who likes to keep himself fit.
Lolly, emu. Seemingly perpetually stuck in an ice cream van, she cools off her friends by handing out ice cream to them.
Josie, kangaroo. A shy, quiet and sweet gal that works at the town's pump station for Sammy.
THEME SONG
If you're in trouble
And you need someone to help you out
There's no need to whistle
And there's no need to shout
Hey hey hey hey
Help is on its way....
