Sep 13, 2019The script is a mess, not helped by some below par acting, although some acting does try real hard to save this mess.
Scene and story progression is mind-numbing, as it seems to be written by highscoolers, full of nonsensical progression. The editing is also just bog standard fare, uninspired. -
Sep 25, 2019This is truly the worst show I've ever seen. I loved Lost and was hoping for something that resembled it. What I got instead was a meandering story that made no sense and endless, pointless conversation.

Sep 23, 2019I totally don't get the negative reviews. It's like Surviror meets LOST meets The Matrix. What's not to like?! I'm six episodes in and haven't been bored yet.

Sep 14, 2019We loved the show! It was enchanting! We watched the series in two days. Thank you to everyone and everything about The I-Land series. Dynamic and moving entertainment!

Oct 22, 2019Seeing all the negative reviews before watching this I really expected the worst. I was quite surprised that this is not an entirely bad series. It goes fairly fast so it it not a huge time investment to watch. Honestly, this was decent enough for a quick watch.

Oct 9, 2019An interesting twist on the 'desert island' trope, worth going through for the ending which while it can be guessed is worth the ride.

This is sci-fi without a vision, a genre piece that doesn’t know how its own genre works. The I-Land is begging to be forgotten.

Netflix's The I-Land is awful, but it's the kind of awful that leaves me with questions at every turn. No aspect of The I-Land works, and every bad aspect builds on the bad aspects before in a way that makes it pretty clear that nobody involved could have been under any misapprehensions about the quality of the endeavor. ... It's one of the worst shows I've ever seen.

It is a bafflingly horrible sci-fi show, the kind of project that leaves your jaw on the floor, not unlike the first time you saw Tommy Wiseau’s “The Room.” It’s only enjoyable at all in that transcendent way that truly horrible things can be enjoyable. ... “The I-Land” quickly gets much grosser. ... It goes from a morbid, poorly-written curiosity to something much worse and downright offensive, losing even the B-show sheen it has at the start.
