While not as phenomenal as Chernobyl, The Hot Zone is a good and compelling show to watch with solid acting.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Should have been subtitled - 'Scientists do stupid things'. Supposed experts in pathogen science engage in such mystifying activities as inhaling an unknown pathogen, toting thawing monkey cadavers, containing an unknown pathogen, around in the trunk of their car, while getting someone to follow behind and watch for drops. Oh, and the the cadavers were wrapped in thin plastic bags. Never mind that they could probably have visited the nearest Walmart etc. in a short space of time and purchased heavy duty bags and plastic crates to provide some level of protection, along with copious quantities of ice. When the liquifying cadavers inevitably leak on to the road the lead scientist apparently thinks it's sufficient to throw a few bottle of bleach around to fix the problem. If it was me and I had kids who would be travelling in that car and I believed the pathogen could be ebola, then I would have torched the car. Expand
