I wasn't sure how much I was gonna like it at first, but I love it! It's so good. Like yeah the age difference change is weird, but they still kinda felt like the Hardy Boys. I like the idea of Laura being more involved in the story, but I wish she didn't have to be killed to get it. Cause that's a little too close to "fridging" her, you know? And it's not overally edgy.

Finally! I'm sick and tired of people thinking edgy means good writing, it's doesn't like 99% of the time. It's a bit darker but it maintained the Hardy Boys vibe. The teenagers also act like teenagers, it's a breath of fresh air tbh. The soundtrack is awesome, I wish I had all the clothes, and I am crushing big time on multiple people if I'm being honest. Callie, most importantly, was the Callie I always wanted. I can put the changes aside and say this is a Hardy Boys story. More importantly, it makes me wish that the CW never went near Nancy Drew. What they did was total crap, this is amazing. The second that show gets cancelled I want a Nancy Drew show made by this team, they could do it right. Not something that crams in half-assed references and calls it a day, something that can change the tone while maintaining the vibe. Most of the charactes are in character. It's fun! That's all I want from a show, it's not a boring-ass overly-dramatic overly-sexualized show. It's actually good and any drama feels natural. I can go on for hours, I love it. and Hulu if you're reading this, think about what I said with Nancy, PLEASE!

We think that the chemistry between Campbell and Elliot will be enough to keep people tuning into this version of The Hardy Boys. But we’re also wondering when gritty reboots of beloved kids’ literary characters is going to stop.

While thankfully more innocent than say the CW’s sexed-up Nancy Drew and Riverdale adaptations, the show still wildly shifts in tone, seemingly caught in between a kids’ detective show and something much darker.

It could use some more twists and turns, and maybe a few additional wisecracks; nevertheless, in this new series, The Hardy Boys’ magnetic appeal is intact.
